Wonderful atmosphere. The owner is a great guy! So many flavors and combinations! Super awesome ice cream place if you're in the area. Also makes for a good recharge after going White Water Rafting across the street from Rolling Thunder or after a good motorcycle ride. 10/10 recommend.
We’re really surprised and happy to find an ice cream place open on Sunday and eager to try someplace with equal product to Dan’s in Sylva that doesn’t break the bank and this is:definitely the sweet spot! Lovely people and monthly sundae creations are absolutely fantastic ! A must stop ?

Stumbled upon 'What's The Scoop' after stopping to stretch our legs as we were headed home from a day trip to Robbinsville to ride the Tail of the Dragon. My husband and I both noticed the "ice cream" sign and Hersey's ice cream just happens to be one of our favorites! From the moment we walked in Dale, the owner was very helpful and friendly. We both sampled the Carmel Cheesecake swirl (or something like that-I can't remember for sure). It was very good. My husband got one scoop in a waffle cone. I was torn between that and my favorite key lime pie... Dale offered to give me 1/2 a scoop of both, WOW! I wish I would have taken him up on the offer, but instead I went with one flavor, key lime pie. My husband and I sat and talked with Dale while we ate, he was very nice and we enjoyed the conversation. We will definitely hop on the Goldwing again go for ice cream at What's the Scoop!
