They get your order wrong more than they get it right Tired of waiting in the drive-through for 15 to 20 minutes just to get home and find out that they give you the wrong food Their solution is to bring it back to the store. My solution is get the order right to start with, and you wouldn’t be losing business like mine.

Really liked the food here and live close by, however spent 20 minutes in the drive thru to be told the intercom was Down, then waited another 15 minutes to be told they’re no longer taking orders! Why don’t they just say that to begin with? It’s a Friday night and obviously they are not staffed properly. This place has potential but sadly Wilkes county has lazy people that won’t work.

Awlful experience went and got lunch their and the order was messed up have clarifying at the window what i wanted and still was messed up. Talked to the store manager told me to come back and my order would be fixed went back on 7-22-25 and got the food to come home and in both the chesse fries and chicken bites had dead FLIES in the food wont be back
Overall decent experience. I went around lunchtime, and I got a cheeseburger with fries and drink along with an order of hush puppies. The burger was good and fresh, I was pleased with it and the fries were warm. Which is good considering I got it to go and drove about 10 minutes before eating. The hush puppies were fantastic. I noticed a 98 health and sanitation rating. I was pleased. Will be back.

Our group of 8 ate at the Wilkesboro location on Sunday, July 20. The service was amazing! The restaurant was very busy and the AC wasn’t working properly however the employees were wonderful! The manager went out of her way to make our visit perfect! It was so nice to see how they were handling the crowd and the warm working conditions without sacrificing customer service and food quality! We will be back!!!

Got the upgrade for the shake in the combo and everything was good. Nice to have other options for a side instead of the default fry option.

We always such a fabulous experience here. I am from where they originally started so I am thankful they are in Wilkes not too far from where I live now. We always get their burgers they are ever so amazing!!

We visited before catching a movie at the nearby Twin Rivers cinema. We were running behind on time and didn't wanna be late for the movie so we were on Google trying to find something quick to eat- and ended up here because they have a drive thru and we were in the mood for a good burger. Thank goodness we came across this place! 🙌 We placed our orders, the #1 and #3 meals with drinks and fries and not only did they cook it quick but they were very friendly, affordable and above all- the food was delicious. Our burgers were mouthwatering and perfect, fries were crispy and seasoned well and it was a pleasant quick lunch while on our little date. Will be back!
P.s if you're a cheapo like me- they have 1/2 off milkshakes each day and sometimes even b1g1 free!
This was our first time at a Short stop's, but it won't be our last. The burgers (we had the Curve Ball and Ball Park), the fries, and the onion rings were all great. My wife got a banana pudding milkshake and I got a mint chocolate chip, and we loved both of them. I was there was one closer to us, as we'd definitely go more often.
It's an okay burger, nothing real special. I don't like the cold, hard buns. The French fries are very tasty and served hot. The milkshakes are very good. I keep coming back, especially for the milkshakes.
Go in the gas station next door the potato are better than anything you will get in there
