Ate a number of times here. A few different salads and hamburgers. Every meal was fantastic. The most delicious burgers ever! Salads are also terrific. Fries could be served hotter though. But my favorite burger place anywhere!

Food was excellent, unfortunately short staffed that day but the waitress we did have worked extremely hard trying to serve as many as she could. With all that, she was quite pleasant! If we are in that area again, we will visit again!

Sandwiches are huge as a small size! The food is fresh and excellent with very reasonable prices! The turkey sandwich was fantastic.

Went to Dooley’s for supper after the activities at North Wilkesboro Motor Speedway. I had the fried egg and cheese burger. It was great. This place has a warm atmosphere and a friendly staff. Good beer selection as well.

Problem was my food came out late, soggy and cold. Returned it and was regrilled and served when the others in my party were finishing up. They were going to charge full price and had to fight for a reduction. Poorly handled.

At first I was going to give this a great review. Sat at restaurant thinking the food was great, cute outside area with music. However the bartender was soo rude I am Furious. I was with my husband and ordered 1 rum/coke with dinner. it was good and it was a Friday night. So-The next time I ordered the waitress asked if I wanted a double instead- said it was cheaper. I said sure. When it came out, it was in a single/ low ball glass, and tasted like zero rum- just soda.I asked my husband to taste it. He said yeah, I can barely tasted it but I THINK there’s rum in there. I didn’t complain, I’m not a big drinker anyway, and just figured maybe I just got a weak single or the waitress, who was new, mixed it up. But When bill came, I was charged a double. I told the waitress what happened and she went in to see what to do. Someone came out who I thought might be a manger, so I politely explained there was a mix up with my drink etc. it turned out to be the bartender and she Literally argued with me AND she didn’t make any sense…something about she was “surprised I got a double and figured I didn’t like the taste of alcohol so she put less ice in it”?? How does that make sense? She argued and dug her her heels- clearly gave zero fcks about customer service. I think her name was Bree, or Brea. She literally argued over a $4 difference… I’m not worried about the money but it’s an attitude I can’t stand that gets under my skin. waitress was new and apologetic, but WTF. I will NEVER go back there again.. I was a bartender, cocktail waitress and waitress for years to put myself through school and NEVER would have acted the way she did. Owner needs to take a look at his staffs attitudes and how they handle situations.

This is our 2nd time visiting. We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer. We paid 11.95 and got about a 1/2 cup of guacamole (if you've made guac...you know I'm talking about 1 avocado. I added salt and pepper at the table because it was meh/bland. For an entree, I ordered a salad, paid 12.95 and IT CAME IN A TO GO BOX! When you go out for dinner....do you want to eat out of a to go box? Not likely we'll be back!

Server was great. This the the only thing from keeping us from walking out. Was busy as you would expect on a Saturday night. We had reservations for 7 and were promptly seated. Ordered drinks that came promptly and appetizers were ordered at this time. Potato skins were very much like something you would find frozen in a grocery store. Small and underwhelming. Not much flavor. Ordered our burgers and waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for them to arrive. Everyone was apologizing for the wait, siting that there were so many big groups (sorry, did not see that at all). I ordered the Carolina Burger with a side order of slaw. I asked for medium rare. My burger came well done. The burger was unseasoned, the chili on top was tasteless and the slaw, both on my sandwich and my side had no flavor. I ate 2 bites of the slaw and half of the burger and called it quits. Now the worst part of the entire meal was the flies. Our table was covered with them and everyone would cover up their food and drinks to keep the flies off. Maybe we were just there at a bad time but there is really nothing there to bring me back.

Good food & open lots of hours, like Sunday night when others are closed. This is in downtown Wilkesboro. We ate outside on a pretty day. There are lots of tables & sun shades. Inside is like a little bar, clean & tidy. The only complaint is from the ladies rest room. There are 3 stalls but only 1 had a lock on the door that worked. Easily remedied so please fix. Hubby & I had taco salad, sweet teas & small French dip. Portions are huge there! Total before tip was $31.87. Service was excellent. Thank you, Jess.

When we went to check out, we were not handed a bill showing what we were paying for, just the total credit card bill. As it turned out, we were overcharged both by charging me for a larger meal than what I had ordered (waitress misunderstood what I asked for and by charging me for substituting a side salad for fries. For the latter, the menu said that substitutions for the fries were allowed. I asked the server what were the choices and when she mentioned the salad, I took it. She never said there was an extra charge for it. I don't like the way they do business and I won't go back.

By the end of our 3 days at Merlefest, we needed some really good food, and we found it here! Not expensive, and one of the best burgers we've had! Nice service from a waitress new to her job, but trying very hard to please - we appreciated her (wish I'd gotten her name!) Good value!

Friendly and efficient service. Our lunch choices, Club and Roast Beef sandwiches, came with a choice of a small, medium or large portion, we choose a small for each and I can’t imagine needing more. Very generous sizes for sure!
