The prices were good but the food just leaves you wanting to leave and go get something with some flavor. I got a hamburger and French fries and the burger is similar to what you get in school as a kid, small, flavorless, disappointing . My partner got the bbq pork and thought it was good but even the large size is still kinda small. They no longer sell ribs here. It is cool that when you come in they just auto bring out hush puppies.
Parking: They have a gravel parking lot, some spaces near the restaurant and some just beside the road with no barrier or guard rail so be careful.

I have been eating here on and off since I moved into Johnston County in April 2004. The restaurant and restrooms are always clean. The food is always good. The employees are always attentive and caring.

Excellent ENC style chopped pork BBQ. Some of the best hushpuppies you’ll ever eat. The best fried chicken livers I’ve ever had. Great BBQ potatoes and slaw too. You can’t go wrong with Stephenson’s!

We've been eating here for over 20 years and it's the best bbq in NC! The boiled potatoes, Josh puppies and banana pudding are always top notch too.
Went for dinner . The hush puppies were not as good as they use to be. Also my wife ordered slaw with her barbecue . Is also was bit under par . Hope things get better .
