I was in the mood for paella but it's hard to find. The Deluxe was the closest thing I could find so I decided to give this place a try. My rice was excellent and very well spiced. Unfortunately some of the seafood in my rice was overcooked. The fried plantains I had were very good. My husband said that his chicken salad sandwich was good. I will definitely try this place again

We went to Aromas to try their Charcoal Rotisserie Chicken at lunch and were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted at the door. Our server quickly brought our menus and returned with our drinks after taking our order. I had the half chicken with fried yucca and plantains, while my partner had fries and black beans as her two sides. The chicken was perfectly done outside with a delicious, moist, flavor inside. All of the sides were as expected with my yucca crisp and my plantains perfect!!! I found their green sauce to be much more flavorful than others in the Wilmington area since it was actually spicy and not watered down for 'American' taste buds. My wife and I have eaten Charcoal Rottiserie chicken around the world in our travels and the Peruvian spice blend Aromas uses is as good as we've had. Service was very friendly. Food was perfectly cooked as it should be and I would highly recommend you seek out this hidden gem on College Road!!!

Absolutely the best food in town! 100% recommend, you will become a fan too. Excellent quality food, full of flavor and impeccable presentation - all the time! Great service and reasonable prices too. Doesn't get any better than that. Great location with plenty of parking.

Having never had Peruvian food before, but loving Latinx cooking, I had to try Aromas of Peru as soon as I learned about this hidden gem! I got the rotisserie chicken with both of my sides being friend plantains (you can never have too many!) The chicken was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plantains were hot, fresh, and overall delicious! The atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice. I went for an earlier dinner, so it wasn't very busy at the time. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place did not disappoint! I was browsing my bookmark section on Yelp and stumbled upon this restaurant under "best of Wilmington weekly". After reading the reviews and viewing the menu, we decided to go. We all ordered the 1/4 chicken with two sides given how much everyone raved about this dish. Everything was delicious and the service was GREAT! Even my 7 year old son loved it. The plantains were cooked perfectly and the black beans were yummy. We ended with three different desserts- the chocolate cake, the cream filled cone and a flakey caramel pastry. Again, delicious. We will definitely be back!!

Delicious! Tucked away in a little shopping center so you might just miss it but hopefully you won't because everything was seriously sooo good. They have my fave drink Colombiana. Ordered the jumping cow the empenadas and yucca cheese bites. Definitely recommend all three. Was told the chicken and the ceviche is one of their best dishes so will have to come back and try those next.

First and foremost: Thank you to my fellow reviewers. I read every single one. Nothing but 100% raves. I followed my gut (as I was hungry) and yall were right. This food was amazing! As pictured...I got their Peruvian roasted 1/4 chicken and my selection of 2 sides were plantains and Peruvian baked beans. For dessert..a Peruvian napoleon..so instead of cream layer it was carmel. My drink was a purple corn drink...sounds interesting right? It tasted like a cold chai tea. Unfortunately I do live in myrtle Beach and I was in the area to Uber and lyft...but when I drive through again.. im definitely stopping

Easy to miss it in the shopping center but it is absolutely AMAZING! Great authentic Peruvian food with other options as well! They are so insanely nice and offer quick and wonderful service! I would definitely recommend it to EVERYONE! -try the yucca fries, they’re so great!

Winner winner, Peruvian chicken dinner. Aromas of Peru hits the spot IMO! A hidden gem that's well worth it. For $26 (as of Nov 2021) you can get a whole chicken with three sides of your choice and sauces. We ordered fried plantains, fried yucca, and beans and they did not disappoint. All the sauces packed so much flavor, the green sauce and yellow (mustardy) sauce packed a punch but don't sleep on the orange sauce, which was our favorite of the three! If you like a humble, yet flavorful meal-- this is the spot! Aromas of Peru will definitely be a frequent spot in our restaurant rotation!

Small family owned restaurant serves beautiful dishes. I had Jumping Chicken, a stir fred chicken with tomato and red onion in a peppery sauce with rice. The dish was satisfyiing, delicous, and healthful - proudly served by a very hospitable staff. My mom enjoyed her dish, An Avacado Walks In, chicken salad on avacados. Three savory, spicy sauces accompany every meal. Wonderful!
