We absolutely loved this place! The food was incredible and we can’t say enough good things about every single dish we ate! Highly recommend
What an amazing experience, we started with the appetizer platter the hummus was fresh and tasty the falafel was good the eggplant delight was DELICIOUS! The grape leaves were good but I prefer mine warm not cold and there’s is cold but good overall. Our main dish was the special for the day which was a sea bass and it came with the rice and vegetables. The vegetables were shredded and lemony and good the rice was soft and tasted fresh. The fish was good and buttery and flaky it was grilled and cooked perfectly. The deserts were to die for! The kunafe was AMAZING and just like my Tata used to make. The Baklava was fresh and delicious. We left not a crumb on the plate. The Turkish coffee was awesome as well.
Overall food was fresh and delicious and it was like walking into a family members house and having a good meal. The place was clean and lively. The customer service was great. As a fellow small business owner it felt good to support this business. 10/10 everyone should try this place.
Great place to hang out and spend some time with friends. Food was very good, but don’t expect huge portions. Not recommended for a quick meal, from time of ordering to getting it on the table was probably 40 minutes.
Been wanting to go here for a while and Black Sea Grill did not disappoint. Had the appetizer sampler and Kofte kabobs, both were quite tasty! Wine is reasonably priced, and the Turkish coffee was a nice way to end the meal. Definitely recommend!
I know good Turkish food from the Black Sea area, and I was pleasantly impressed with how they caption the flavor 😋 brought me back
I’ve been going here for years, and they never fail to deliver. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, and it’s a family owned and operated business. This is the kind of place where Wilmingtonians should be spending their money. There’s not a lot of seating and they can get very busy at times, so call ahead and check or make a reservation. The service is genuine and since it is family operated when it’s busy you might have to wait a little. So if you want something fast and furious, then this isn’t your place. But if you want excellent Mediterranean food, served by folks who appreciate their customers, then do yourself a favor and check them out.
Just had a late lunch here today. Got the beef kabobs and my partner got the vegetarian sampler. Very satisfied! The owners were friendly and we had a good experience. Would come again.
A group of 4 of us had lunch here. Delicious! I had the Turkish patties plate and my husband had the beef plate. Both served with jasmine rice and a side salad (add the feta!). My MIL had the fish plate, upgraded to haddock. My FIL, the pickiest of our eaters, had the burger and loved it. We also shared a side of pita, dipping it in the jajik sauce. 10/10. Everything was delicious and real food. Cannot wait to come back for dinner.
Unbelievable. If you are going to be in Wilmington and you do not go to this restaurant, you are missing out. The food was cooked to perfection. The quality of the food was clearly a cut above all other restaurants, and the atmosphere and experience phenomenal. The baklava and Turkish coffee was a perfect finish to a protein heavy well cooked amazing meal. It was by far one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. You need to make time to visit this place when you’re in Wilmington.

We found the Black Sea Grill in our search for gluten free options in Wilmington - it did not disappoint! The entire menu is gluten free except the pita (which those of us not GF really enjoyed). The owner greeted us and waited on us personally. He was so warm and welcoming, and gave us great tips for things to explore in the area. We ordered tilapia and grilled chicken kebab entrees, which were delicious. The service and atmosphere were wonderful, and the location is in great proximity to the river walk and front street shops. Would definitely enjoy the Black Sea Grill again!
