I've been searching for a mediterranean place aside from the other two in town because I wanted something more. One fills the fast food niche, another is for quick gyros, and Black Sea Grill is for everything else.My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here and tried as much food as we could eat to really judge it. I was amazed I hadn't found it already. We will definitely be back and I'll be bringing more people! This visit led my wife and I to go to the Halal Market on Carolina Beach Road the very next day to try to recreate some things we ate here.
Food was great. The lunch menu looks better than the dinner menu imo. The atmosphere and service were not up to par with the food. Our server seemed annoyed to have customers (6 on a Friday). Would benefit from more side options for the entrees on the dinner menu.

I was excited to try a new place on an early Saturday for dinner. Greeting was warm and we were seated. The menu was very limited so I was taken back a bit. I ordered the Mediterranean combo. No extras on the table. No bread, no anything. Everything outside your entree was extra. The entree was ok. I was expecting more flavors. The lamp chop was cooked nicely. But needed a sauce to bring it to life. The chicken fell flat. The beef kabob was alright. All in all the plate was just ok. I just anticipated a wow. No wow here. Bummer.

My girlfriend and I recently dined here because we were craving Mediterranean food. It's a small but nicely decorated restaurant with only a few tables. Our server was polite but was a little on the forgetful side even though she claimed to be a writer and didn't need to write our order down. She forgot to get straws for our drinks, forgot to order our appetizer sampler which was tasty but the falafel was a little dry with no tzatziki sauce to dip it in. You have to order the sauce separately. The pita slices were warm and fresh tasting. The soup of the day which was barley was tasty. I ordered the fish special (grilled branzino) with two sides which were salad and rice but she forgot I chose rice and gave me pickled cabbage instead. I received the rice after I noticed the mix up. My girlfriend didn't like her falafel sandwich because the falafel was a little too dry. For dessert we ordered baklava and Turkish coffee which were good. Overall I liked what I had but my girlfriend had a different opinion of it.
