Our food was brought out cold. The corn on the cob wasn't even warm enough to melt butter. The baked potatoes was the same. The fried flounder was very good until I got to the hairs fried in the breading. The waitress was excellent. There was 5 in our party and only thing warm was the Riley. This is one place I won't go back to.

Excellent food and large portions! We had lunch and almost didn't need dinner that night! I had been craving scallops and they didn't disappoint! My husband got the pick three (founder, shrimp and clamp strips with two sides) My friend chose clam strips. All were wonderful! Fresh and perfectly cooked!!!!!! It had been 35 years since I last remember the taste of good scallops. So glad we stopped! They start renovations this coming Monday and will be closed thru mid-November, according to signage. Thank you!

To the server assigned to my son & I this evening, I said a prayer for your lack of customer service skills. Not sure of your situation or if you were just having a bad day but your attitude, lack of customer service, rushing us, getting the order incorrect, forgetting the silverware & not checking back with us cost you a huge tip. I have never had to ask to speak to a manager (& we dine out on a regular basis & have been to the Boathouse many times)but I just couldn’t let the lack of customer service not be reported. Now I do have to say Kudos to the manager Lee who came and listened to my concerns & made every thing right. We will be back because we like the Boathouse and cannot let one bad experience with a server deter us away but definitely will never sit with this server again. We did bring our food home, warm it up & enjoyed with our excellent home service.

Ordered takeout Been here for years never had a issue with food or professionalism the manager was young and rude an never returned my call after only asking for refund boathouse is not the same professional or taste wise food was just not that good
I had the dried flounder and shrimp with sautéed spinach and baked sweet potato. It was all very tasty.
I ordered some Alfredo sauce instead of spaghetti sauce kid sized. I get home and realize they didn’t make it an Alfredo meal it was simply spaghetti noodles and Alfredo sauce on the side. I was charged a La carte.
Gave 4 stars because the hush puppies seems very dry and not good.
Aside from that my server was nice and the staff all seem decently friendly from my observation. I was there about an hour or less. There was no wait. It was a Wednesday night.
Atmosphere is hard to describe. The bathroom was cleaned and the restaurant seemed to be fairly clean as well.
I would definitely go back again for the flounder it was fresh and a good portion.
I want to try some of the other items on the menu for seafood next time.
You can see the tv to watch the game from some of the tables which is nice.

Pleasantly surprised. I will be honest and say I went in with low expectations. It wasn't on any list of recommendations we had received from friends and locals but it had scallops on the menu and our daughter wanted scallops, we said she could pick the place, so that's where we went. Arrived and saw the outside and inside and still wasn't sure how it would be. Definitely had an old school seafood house vibe which could be good or bad. Turned out to be great. Definitely the old school seafood type place (lots of fried options). Solid hush puppies to start. Daughter got the Shrimp Alfredo and they let her add scallops for a more than reasonable upcharge. She loved it. I had a couple of her shrimp and they were very good. Wife got a fried shrimp platter and liked it. Against my better judgment I ordered a combo with a 12 Oz ribeye and fried shrimp w/ fries and sautéed spinach. I am pretty particular about my s medium rare steaks so I figured I would be disappointed. I have to say the steak was very good, cooked as ordered, and also seemed bigger than 12 Oz. The fried shrimp were good. Fries were good. Sautéed spinach was very good. I cleaned my plate and enjoyed it all. We will gladly go back when in town. Also, our server was great. She was very nice and attentive.
