Decided to give it a go after checking the reviews here and got disappointed. Got two baguettes and ciabatta. The texture is very rubbery and the breads are cold and didn’t look fresh. Ciabatta has salt on the top and is terribly salty, couldn’t finish it. Made the mistake to eat the baguette next day and it was so hard that not even heating it helped. Didn’t like the flavor either.

Bread slicing machine has been broken for weeks. Bread usually burned and blackened. Working person has serious attitude. Avoid!

This place use to be awesome. We first started going after meeting the owner at the plantation and having a conversation with him. Very nice guy. They had a great selection and prices were always marketable unfortunately now there are new owners or managers whatever they wish to be recognized as. They took away the reward card ( you buy certain amount of loafs you get one loaf free) not sure why but it seems petty on their end, now the last time we went the slicer machine wasn't working. They seem to have trouble keeping the equipment maintenance now as well. Definitely not the same people running this place as when I first started going. Also the selection and or amount of loafs seems to be lacking as well. Not sure we will be continuing to go here much longer.

My experience at this place was really good ?. The items I purchased were fresh and delicious ?, customer service was super nice and knowledgeable, from fresh bread, pastries, honey, coffee and cookies ? ?, the store was clean and organized and I noticed that you can donate children's books and also take one as well..that's sweet ☺

Bread Smith is crisp. Doesn't get any better.

Their sourdough loaf is so much better than supermarket sourdough. I wish they sold a multi grain version with nuts or seeds.

I hate to disagree with all the great reviews but I’ve tried the Breadsmith several times and find that their bread has no flavor. I’m from New York and their bread nowhere compares with what I know to be good tasting bread. Not sure if maybe they’re not using enough salt or not enough proofing. The sourdough I tried had none of the sour twang I’m used to in sourdough. I got a French loaf recently and no bread flavor at all. Put some in the toaster for several minutes and it never turned golden. I have found more flavorful and crusty bread at Lidl’s. But my hunt for delicious bread here in NC continues. Oh but I did get a sample of their almond poppy seed pound cake - delicious!

Your nose will lead you inside as you pass this bread place. All types of bread are on display along with scones and muffins. The staff is friendly and available to answer any questions about the products. There were so many fresh choices that I had to purchase several just to try the various breads and scones. A wonderful experience!

I just went there for the first time. The girl at the counter was a tad rude. She wore gloves to pick up my bread and than without changing the gloves took my money and gave me change. I threw the bread away. That's disgusting.

Love Breadsmith bread, especially the Greek Olive Loaf. I would give it more stars but regardless of the type I purchase, it molds quicker than any bread I've had before. Last time I stored the bread in a Tupperware bread keeper and it still molded after 4 days. I suppose the solution for me is to freeze the bread and take it out as needed. Disappointed, but I will continue buying Breadmith since most of their selections are oil and dairy-free.
