I tried Brent’s Bistro on 3/3/24. I did not have reservations, and I was sat immediately. I may have got lucky, so it is probably a good idea to make a reservation. We started with the crab dip. It was fantastic. It was loaded with crab with a lovely browned cheese topped with diced tomatoes and chives. Most crab dips that I try are loaded with mayo and not crab. Not this one. This is crab-forward and the best I have ever had. After the crab dip, we tried some salads. We ordered the house salad and the sweet pea salad. Both were excellent. I got ranch dressing with the house salad. It was homemade dressing. For our main dishes, we ordered the unique Grilled Mahi w/a honey almond basil pesto rub Served over Spinach risotto, Finished bruschetta tomatoes & balsamic, and the *Salmon Piccata: Sauteed salmon topped with a classic lemon caper sauce served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both dishes were fantastic. I do have to say that the risotto that came with the special was undercooked. Still, they handled it very well by immediately replacing it with some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had, so I did not ding them on the stars because it is undeniable their food is five stars. A note for wine drinkers is at least for our first visit, the amount they pour for a glass is very generous. As mentioned, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. This is a must-try if you visit or Live in the area.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options.Parking: They have a free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a wheelchair-friendly restaurant

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the food and the service. It's a small boutique dining experience. The food has to be 2nd to Emeril Lagasse's restaurants for my all-time favorite meal! I'm super hard to impress, and I am smitten for sure!

We have been to Brent's one other time before our last visit and all we kept asking ourselves was “why”. The staff are well trained, polite and very helpful. The food was outstanding. We started with the Ahi Tuna, pea salad and then I finished with the pork chop(fabulous) and my wife finished with the Shrimp and Angel hair pasta. Some places just get it and Brent obviously does. Wine list was very reasonable with some really good finds.

One of my favorites in the area. It does get a bit crowded but that's just because it so good. Never had a complaint at Brent's and if you go there you might even see famous people there...... like me

Brent's Bistro hit it out of the park last night for my husband's leap year birthday celebration. Ambience was intimate but welcoming, service was upbeat and knowledgeable without being pushy or imposing, food was scrumptiously special and portions were stick to your ribs! We don't venture off our side of town very often but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these weekly meal drops to take the drive and break bread here again real soon!

Service and atmosphere great. I ordered the wrong thing , still delicious..Not my first time at Brent's and look forward to the next..

Our Valentine celebration. I knew the food would be exceptional. And it was. I was surprised by the atmosphere. More crowded and noisy than I expected. I knew it would t be cheap. And that was okay. But I was expecting a romantic quiet ambiance with little nooks and hideaways for diners.

Brent's Bistro is our favorite local dining spot. It's the best place to have a warm delicious dinner any day of the week. The ambiance is simple and comfortable. The service is excellent. They all feel like family. We always will leave talking about what we ate and how much we enjoy eating there often.

Always the very best dining experience. The pinot noir, salad and both entrees (pork chop and pomegranate scallops) were exceptional. Thank you Brent's Bistro! P.S. the background music is perfrct.

Brent's is a small, intimate eatery with very fresh, locally-sourced fare. The menu varies frequently, but is always good--especially the seafood. It is equally as good as the larger and better-known eateries in the same 3-block area of Wrightsville Ave., but the prices are slightly more reasonable. Wait staff are prompt and cheerful. Reservations are a must; in this instance, we were trying for Valentine's Day, but had to settle for the evening before because the Open Table online system was incapable of telling us whether any open dining times existed on Feb 14th.

Brent's Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington!!! Menu changes weekly with fresh takes on different dishes and they are always delicious. This night was Firecracker shrimp-Awesome Start. House Salad-Try the White Balsamic Vinaigrette-Thank me later. And let me tell you, if Korean Marinated Beef Medallions on the menu. Have to do it. Medium-rare and absolutely delicious.
