We were visiting Wilmington over Thanksgiving from the Lowcountry of South Carolina and decided to have dinner at Cafe Chinois after reading their menu online. Wow, were we pleased in every way. Excellent server, Pike, who was so helpful explaining many of the dinner choices, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food plus needed to go boxes. We had yellow curry with fried tofu and massaman curry with fried tofu. Both were wonderful!! Highly recommend Cafe Chinois, wish we had such a great restaurant near our home.

Vegetarian options: We both had fried tofu and it was firm and fried very nicely.

Parking: Parked in lot directly in front of the restaurant, it’s in a strip mall.

My family and I came here to enjoy lunch before we went to see a movie. The atmosphere of the restaurant when we walked in was lovely, and we were greeted when we walked in. I had a very hard time choosing what to eat, there were so many great options on the menu. I got a Thai green curry and it was DELICIOUS. Can't wait to visit my family again so I can come back here. Highly recommend!

Shout to our server with the red beard, great customer service!

Cafe Chinois serves delicious Vietnamese food and the best part is they are open all throughout the day, so you can go in around 2p or 3p and have a peaceful lunch with a glass of Pierre Sparr cremant. Great for locals and tourist alike.

I have been to Cafe Chinois several time and it is always a wonderful experience. The food is flavorful and inspired, clearly communicating its intention of fusion fare. They are conscious of the fine details and the servers go above beyond to ensure everyone is happy within your visiting group. I have on one visit also had the opportunity to interact with the manager who was enthusiastic to have conversation and inform me more about the lovely art that is showcased in the restaurant. For anyone who enjoys museums, this is a perfect setting to enjoy a meal and make memories.

As far as this young white guy can tell, Cafe Chinois is a good cultural restaurant. Serving delicious Thai and Vietnamese dishes alongside a nice atmosphere. Pictured is calamari appetizer, and Thai orange beef.

Popped in for lunch at 1:30 and had a terrific meal. The portions were appropriate and nothing to bring home but that’s okay. Loved the jasmine tea also. Loved the Ginger Chicken so fresh and tasty. Good job to everyone!!

This is our first time in this restaurant. They never disappoint us. Cafe Chinois is now one of our favorite Thai restaurants here in Wilmington. The ambiance is so nice and inviting and well decorated and very clean. Mr John was our server tonight and he his very attentive and very knowledgeable and very friendly. We been visiting a lot of Thai restaurants but this place was perfect and the food was super delicious. I highly recommended this restaurant. We definitely coming back here with my friends and family. What a great experience.

First time for me, ordered basic Thai dishes of Larb Kai and Tom Yum Goong, Larb was okay I give score 6 out of 10 and Tom Yum I give a 4 out of 10. Rice 10 was perfect. I recommend any restaurant that serves Thai dishes to have fresh Lemon Grass and other authentic ingredients but sadly most folks that have never been to Thailand won't miss much.

Stopped by for dinner. Ordered the Thai Papaya salad; very delicious and came with some sticky rice. Also ordered the Bo Ne Vietnamese steak dish and the Green Curry with chicken. Steak was not as tender as expected and the flavor was okay. The Green Curry was excellent with a lot of flavor and ingredients. Took a while for the Papaya salad to be served.
