Was excited to try since we love Indochine. Wrong! I'm not even going to say anything about my husbands dish which was awful. I ordered the Korean beef bulgogi. I've had some excellent bulgogi in the past, and was expecting the same. It was anything but. No flavor. It was just meat stir fried without any sauce. Bland. I have had frozen dinners with more flavor! Will never go back.

my meal was ordered to be hot, by there spice recommendation on the menu, there was no spicey heat on my meal the orange beef is ridiculously loaded with brocolli that is tough and not steamed properly..... oh, and no other vegetables come with your meal, dry, tasteless and bland

Went for dinner. Not a wait, seated right away; they were using only the back room. Wife had iced tea, which she enjoyed. I had iced coffee, which seemed 'meh', and that set a standard for the evening. Tom Yum was unexciting, like the kitchen had run out of cilantro and lemongrass. It lacked balance, not enough fish sauce or lime juice. Pad see ew lacked 'oomph', Panang curry was Ok. I asked for prik nam plaa, and received a small bowl of chili powder.

I search for good pad thai and this place was bad ! I couldn’t eat it!
I’ve only been here twice and I won’t be going back. We got there tonight around 5:40 and didn’t get our food until 1 hour later. I ordered the Thai Orange Beef and regretted it immediately. To be fair, I have no idea how it is supposed to be cooked but the beef was VERY chewy and the only way to describe the overall taste would be to compare it to that taste you get when you’ve eaten too much syrup with your pancakes. I think they have so many takeout orders that the people who come there to eat end up waiting way too long.

Had to wait to be seated even though there were maybe 3 tables eating. When we were seated no one ever came to our table to take our order. The only server we saw spent the entire time talking to other patrons.

Very authentic Vietnamese food and they put a lot of effort into each dish. Not only did our server know the menu inside and out, he also walked us through the items with such detail while providing context that I left us even more appreciative of the cuisine. As one-time vacationers to Vietnam, eating at Cafe Chinois really took us back. 5 stars all around!

recently left a five star review. I drive there from Southport just for Orange Beef. however took my friend there for her birthday yesterday and there was a $7 price increase and a smaller portion than usual. we had to stop at Walgreens so she could go to restroom. She had explosive diareah. I have been to restroom all day and on my 4th visit as I am writing this. Didn't quite make it last time. Needless to say I won't be going back there again. Spent $90 including tip. Not a happy camper.
