I've been there a few times and have chosen different items on their menu each time. Every single selection has been absolutely delicious. The menu has fun unique combinations that are great to try out.

Food has potential but definitely not what I was expecting. The food was Very bland look delicious but it wasn’t at all . We ordered the short rib and the regular hash skillet. The Chimichurri was flavorful on the short rib, but everything else had no flavor sadly! .. the drinks were meh as well !!! we ordered the strawberry field and the port side, Paloma. Won’t be back headed back to Florida ;) nevertheless our server Nikki was great ! And the cinnamon roll was great 10/10

Our server was great. For 930 in the morning, the kitchen seemed a little slow. The bacon has a strange taste/cure. Steady stream of regulars, but as a Triple D fan, this was a little disappointing.

Thanks Guy. You inspired me to eat here while I visited the NC state fair.
Didn't fall short of anything you said I haven't took back home a bottle of Southern Sriracha hot sauce
Super cute place to visit! Food was great and there were lots of options from sweet to savory. They offered some great seasonal drinks and food items as well. They also had some interesting boozy coffees and other alcoholic brunch drinks. Prices are great. The decoration was so southern and homey.

While visiting the Wilmington area, my husband and I explored beyond the historic downtown area and found Cast Iron Skillet for breakfast. What a delightful surprise! Decorated with kitchen hand-me-downs and antiques, this restaurant provided a quality breakfast with great service at a reasonable price. I had 2 eggs with bacon, skillet-fried potatoes and a homemade biscuit. my over easy eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was crisp - not greasy or fatty - the biscuit light and fluffy. Only negative was the potatoes. While tasty and crisp, they were too salty. Would definitely recommend the Cast Iron Kitchen to anyone visiting Wilmington.
Second visit, and disappointed. The Dirty South biscuit tasted different.

They have three different types of gravy and they are all delicious. 😋 The Shrimp 🍤 and Grits are my favorite.
