After waiting 3 months for a table, we were a 4 top, server seemed bothered to be working making it very a very unpleasant experience. The food to be quite honest left much to be desired. The pasta was undercooked, not al dente, but undercooked and hard, the chicken was dry, nothing was really good enough to rave about or make us want to return, I guess it doesn’t matter really because they are super busy anyway with all the social media hype. Seems simple enough to put out the same meal nightly but I guess not.
Just attended one of their evening
dinners. Family style food and service was spot on. Fun night and a great dinning experience.

We came in for lunch today for my wife's birthday. Cousin Joe set us up with a Chelsea (cold) and a Hailey (hot) sandwiches, pasta salad, and mozzarella and tomatoes! They were incredibly delicious and we can't wait to come back for another amazing dinner here! Cousin Joe also gave us a slice of fresh carrot cake for her birthday and it was phenomenal! Thank you to Cousin's Deli for starting my wife's birthday of work a fabulous lunch!

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy the weekend dinner at Cousin’s Deli with a group of friends. These reservations get booked out literally months in advance so I had made this one several months ago. We all arrived within a few minutes of the dinner time and were seated. For these dinners, there is one seating each night, and everything is served family-style. The restaurant is extremely full because there is limited space and tons of people who want to enjoy it. We were a group of 6. Dinner is also BYOB so we had a few bottles of wine among us. Our first course was a yummy bruschetta that was super fresh and flavorful. This was then followed by a plate of delicious appetizers which included eggplant rollatini, arancini, sauteed mushrooms, and shrimp. It was super delicious and tons of food! You are able to bring home leftovers so no need to stress about wasting food. Then we got a salad that was huge! It had pepperoncini in it which several of my friends loved. After that was the pasta course. We were served pasta a la vodka. It was an interesting sauce, much lighter than I’m used to for this dish. The pasta was delicious! Then came the main entrée course of chicken piccata. This serving was MASSIVE! Three different people took food home! The dessert plate came out with three different desserts on it- carrot cake, biscotti, and cannolis. You can also order coffee to go with the dessert course.
Everything was very tasty with very generous portions. The only big downside to the evening is how loud it is inside- I literally couldn’t hear my friend two seats down. Just comes from being super a popular experience in a restaurant not originally created for this set up. Still highly recommend!
Big items to know:
- You can take leftovers home
- BYOB
- Parking in the lot right next to the restaurant
- Super loud inside during dinner
Vegetarian options: If you do the family-style dinner, you can call ahead to request the fish entree or a possible vegetarian entree. One of my party is vegetarian and was happily accommodated

Great atmosphere, beautiful food and the restaurant owners visited every table.
We forgot that this restaurant was BYOB/W... So, don't forget to bring your own wine!!!!

As an Italian, and in my humble opinion, I consider Cousins to be the best Italian deli and food in downtown Wilmington. Their weekend dinners are excellent multi-course meals. Great food and service and staff. We love it!

Love this place!! The dinner was so worth it, and it meant a lot to us that the head chef Joey came out and greeted everyone’s table.

Don’t bother. Nothing available till next year and Guy was rude for no reason when calling to check if any availability for their “Family-Style” dinner. Would’ve gladly done it online as to not seem to BOTHER anyone for just checking.
