Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My daughters and I all enjoyed our dinner yesterday. We liked the new barrel bites appetizers. And it's always fun to shop after eating. We will be back soon.

We went early, around 11 am, I ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered the chicken tenders with 3 sides. I'm glad I ordered the 3 sides because the tenders were inedible. I think they were left over from the day before and possibly reheated in the microwave. And my friend's pancakes were cold. This is the 1st time I have experienced this with a meal at Cracker Barrel.

Parking: Parking was fine, my lunch, not so much.

Biscuits were not good. Tasted like flour and white as paper. The waitress took them back. Next batch was black as charcoal on the top no difference in the bottom taste.
The waitress was very nice. Attentive and very busy. I'll try again next visit.. it was a very busy morning.

Food veg plate was just warm not hot , potatoe came out 1st & got cold tasted like it was baked hours ago.
Very disappointed. not the Store I liked last year.

My mother and I ordered grandmas breakfast. The best thing about the breakfast was the pancakes. The grits had big lumps in them. The bacon was not done the way we requested. Usually Cracker Barrel has a nice breakfast but not this time. Asked for butter but the butter didn’t get to the table until we were almost done with the pancakes.

Parking: The parking is plentiful.

Wait staff said Dishwasher was broken Sunday 2 March, no knives at the table, only a fork. I had ordered chicken fingers which I ate with my fingers. Eventually a steak fork showed up. I buttered my roll with my fork. Dinner tasted ok, but the atmosphere was tense and did not make for enjoyable meal. I got out as fast as I could.

Absolutely love this place! We came from the north and it was so nice to sit down and eat a southern breakfast. They have a nice gift shop before going into the restaurant. Once in the restaurant you feel like you're an old times. The waitress greeted us with Southern hospitality. Sherry was a sweetheart. The food was delicious at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I ordered the smoked grilled chicken breast. It came with 2. I ate one there and took the rest home. My waitress was fantastic. My chicken on the other hand, will probably cause me to be sick as a dog considering it was absolutely raw. I understand that sometimes the kitchen can get backed up, but it’s imperative to make sure the food is fully cooked. Had my 2 year old daughter ate some and got sick I’d be more mad than a leprechaun that lost his gold. ( St. Patty’s reference).

Decided against online order due to up charge of nearly $4. Called to place my orders and immediately put on hold. Each time (3) someone would check the line, wouldn’t speak with me but continued my hold. Lasted 12 minutes (11:30-12:00) so I ended up going inside to place it. Then I had to wait 30 minutes to get my food. Still didn’t have time to bake the corn muffins so I was given biscuits instead. The green beans had the canned MSG taste. The cake was old, dry and had poor presentation. Bad experience overall

Have been dining in Cracker Barrel’s fir decades, usually always good food, my wife snd i both had the Friday COD last night, after sitting down it only took 3 to 4 minutes for the food to come to us which we found ti be odd, the fish was just warm, all of the sides must have been under a heat lamp, this discouraged us for sure, not the cracker barrel were are accustomed to.
