Dockside is one of those places in Wilmington where the atmosphere really carries the experience. Sitting out by the water with boats coming and going makes it a relaxing spot to unwind. The service during our visit was excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Actually the best part of my experience.
The food was solid and enjoyable. Not necessarily the most mind-blowing meal you'll ever have, but definitely good and satisfying. What really elevates the visit is the combination of good food, great service, and that classic waterfront vibe.
Overall, a great place to grab a meal, enjoy the view, and spend some time by the water.

A lot of hype for this establishment. Very difficult to get into as far as parking and to be seated. The food was great. The staff seemed unprepared for as busy as it was. The atmosphere was great. We will definitely try it again.

One of our favorite places to eat since moving to Wilmington but was very disappointed today Shrimp tacos were about half full and very small portion of chips.
Beautiful day to eat outside at Dockside. Amelia was our server and she was just amazing. The best yet. The food was great, two of us had the catch of the day, blackened swordfish that was just cooked to perfection. Dockside is such a wonderful experience. Always.

Meh, I’ve been gone from ILM a long time now, came back for a family funeral, her side not mine.
The food was mediocre at best, the clam chowder, usually off the chain was lukewarm and disappointing.
Had the fish taco, well let’s say it’s not their best dish by far.
But the view 19 or of 5.
Come on guys you can do better.
One last thing g was ready to but a t shirt, but they went to the cheapest maker. Comfort colors is the only t-shirt I’d spend the extra money for. So I passed, over the Mott’s to get another one from them.

Perfect place to enjoy the weather and views. We have been coming here for decades.
We always beat the crowds to ensure we get a table next to the water or a good spot at the Bar. Food is consistently delicious and service is friendly. Portions are huge. Fish is delicious. We love the House-Made Chips so much we order a side to-go.
Tip: Servers can get busy so we make sure to ask for any extra condiments while we order food and close our check when we order our last round of drinks.
