A bit pricy. But you get a huge serving. Very pretty inside.

An outstanding Chinese restaurant that blends exceptional and unique flavors and recipes with authentic decor, excellent service, a separate room for parties, and an extremely pleasant wait staff, without exception

Our absolutely favorite Chinese cuisine in Wilmington. Each portion is two meals and incredibly flavorful- they always treat us too with complimentary edamame or pickled vegetables. You must try it!

Very disappointed with the dim sum, little flavor and most seem to be puréed with mystery fillings. Would definitely not go back again.
Always, always, love double happiness ♡♡

I love Double Happiness! Large portions of delicious food. Our waiter, James, was great giving information and suggestions. I had leftovers. Not because it was bad, but because it was so much food and I wanted to savor it again! The pictures is how much I took home.

The food here was good. I really liked the orange rind in the orange chicken. Although I wish the orange chicken had a better breading on it, instead of it being so soft.
It was nice edamame also came with the food.
The humidity must have gotten to the fortune cookies, because they were so soft that they could be unfolded.

Big portions, really good food with a wide variety of options and friendly staff. We needed to go boxed and enjoyed the food a couple of days later.

Ordered dry wok chicken. There was no chicken. Just battered nuggets of nothing. Very disappointed

Order takeout Sesame chicken definitely tastes like orange chicken and was gross. Choices were brown or white rice. I thought they meant fried, no dry brown rice. Waste of $20.
This is one of my favorite spots in Wilmington. I like the sesame chicken and General Tso chicken, and the dry wok chicken is also really good. Bok choy is fantastic, as are the dumplings. Portions are very generous and for an $18 entree you get two meals. Solid spot, I keep going back.
Double Happiness does not disappoint. The Wrightsville Ave location was a neighborhood favorite of mine when we lived in Wilmington. After moving away in 2013, we have to have it again anytime we were in town. This time we visited the Ogden location and had a wonderful dining experience. This is not fast food Chinese food (although they do offer to go). It is so nice to have authentic Chinese food in a relaxed fine dining atmosphere. When we were there this past week the food was amazing! Not only did we have a wonderful meal there, we got a couple entrees to go to warm up for dinner the next day. May gave us pointers on reheating the food and it was also delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit.
