Waitresses were super nice but service compared to other breakfast sit down restaurants in town was very slow. Was told we would get more coffee but had to ask for it and it was gross. Had to ask for drink refill. Food took a long time to come out and was not hot. The toast had a thick visible layer of butter. I noticed the waitresses were running TO GO orders when they should have the hostess or one designated person for that. Just not impressed.
I am visiting from out of town, and based on the menu seen online, was looking forward to the place. Sadly, I would not likely to be back. Long wait with a ton of empty tables (figured that must be a staffing issue; OK, that happens). My "goodness" omelet came out stuffed with olives. No where on the menu does it say it comes with olives. I can't stand olives and when we finally got the servers attention (who was at the pass window texting) she offered to replace it. The replacement came out with no olives (yeah) and unfortunately exactly one crumb of feta (one of the ingredients it was supposed to have). It did have a nice amount of spinach in it, so props for that. Ordered a pancake on the side, and the plate had something crusted on it, which even the server said was kinda gross. It was certainly not from my pancake, but was from an earlier diner and not properly washed. My layman's guess. They have no management in that place and are hoping on getting by with the staff in place. Good luck with that.

It was once my favorite place to get breakfast. I used to go at least once a month. The service used to be good the food used to be good. Since the first of the year it's been hit and miss I think I've had about four bad experiences either with food or with service or both. I want one day around 9:00 the store was locked everybody appeared to be around back as far as employees were concerned I just want to down the street. I returned a few days later was greeted at the door with bad service I left I will not darken your door no more. It's sad because I used to really like your place.

Ordered takeout online. My order was advertised as “ Two eggs, blueberry muffin and fresh fruit.” for $8.99. In the drop down menu it asked how to cook the eggs and what side. Fruit was a $1.49 up charge so I assumed since it was listed as including fruit that if I wanted double fruit it would be more. I chose home fries instead. Well, it didn’t come with fruit as advertised so since I didn’t select that as a side and pay more I just didn’t get it. I got there to pick the food up at the exact time they said it would be ready and had to wait 10-15 minutes for it. The taste was less than mediocre.

Nice place to go for a relaxed breakfast or brunch on the way to the beach. Even though it wasn’t busy, food took a while, and there was a few small errors. The food’s good, but not the best breakfast in Wilmington. The prices were reasonable, and the French vanilla cappuccino was good. Pictured is the Grand Classic breakfast dish and a side waffle.

Dined here today for the first time. I sat at the bar and had Abby for my server. I was met with smiles, coffee never went empty. I had French toast and a side of garlic cheese grits with bacon. The food was mediocre. The grits had a burnt flavor. I feel my food took a long time to come out. You could tell the kitchen was struggling. Several times Abby went in to the kitchen to help cook, plate, expo, and sell the tickets. There was maybe 6 tables in there. The other server with the dangly nose ring kept touching her hair and then would not wash hands before expoing and pulling food from the window. I witnessed at least a 28 min ticket time for a well done steak. You could literally feel the struggle of the staff. Abby was the glue of that entire place today.

My husband and I stopped one morning and loved it so much we returned the next morning with more family. Server was always super sweet, food was delicious and the price was cheap. Ultimately, I liked this place so much we actually asked if we can buy the coffee mug.

Understaffed from front door to the kitchen... out of food & food was lacking overall with cooking, prep, timeliness, and plate presentation. A BLT consisted of stale bread, withered lettuce, soggy tomato & bacon "crumbles"!

Very cute and good coffee but if you're looking for good food, enthusiastic service, or good portions? You're honestly better off at a waffle house. Waitress was dreary, messed up our order, and when I finally got my Alvarado toast and eggs it was about 3 bites of egg and one slice of bread cut in half with about half a can of salsa drowning out my avocado.

It's been 4 months since I got breakfast to-go here. All I remember was burned potatoes and a tasteless shrimp and grits omelet that was 11.99 on an old menu. They said they didn't have it on the menu anymore but they could make it for a little bit more. It ended up being 19$ then a tip. Not the best 24$ I've ever spent.

The home fries were stale, over seasoned, and lukewarm. The gravy was as salty as the ocean and room temp. Hollandaise sauce was too salty. Food took awhile to come out despite only having a few customers. The Eggs Up in Southport is great, this one however... was one of the worst breakfasts I've ever had. Spent 40 dollars, McDonald's has a better tasting breakfast for far less money.
