Food is great! I got a to-go order. Place was very busy but the food still came out in a decent amount of time. Staff are friendly and work really hard to make sure your experience is a great one.

We arrived knowing there would probably be a wait, it was a Friday night. Earlier we had phoned to make sure we could bring our dog; I wish I had known they accepted reservations at that time. The outside patio had a group of 25 coming in shortly after us, but the staff went above and beyond to squeeze us in.
We were frequent patrons of El Cerro when it was located above the Harris Teeter near Wrightsville Beach and after moving away 20 years ago we were looking forward to going back. The service was friendly, fast and efficient just like we remembered. The food was so much better than we remembered! We had a great and very filling dining experience. My husband and I always ordered from the combo menu and that's what we chose this time. The chili rellenos were perfect!
Looking forward to another trip back to our old home time and another visit to El Cerro!

Items were missing from my order and what I did get was horrible. The chips were even bad like they were a month old and they did nothing over the phone to help me and could care less. Go to Flaming Amy’s burrito barn.

Always a great experience here at El Cerro. Great service and great food. Carne asada tacos, birriachanga, and el diablo burrito are our favorites. Great margaritas too!

Food was just overall mediocre, took it to go. Chips were pretty stale after just a 10 minute drive home, guac had little to no seasoning. Got the la grande chimichanga with grilled chicken, wasn’t shredded up, just whole chunks of chicken with a chewy tortilla. Side quesadilla had literally 0 cheese on it. Refried beans were mediocre. On the upside the rice was really good and the chipotle steak burrito was solid. Overall lackluster compared to the greatness of the el Cerro grande off of college

Amazing service and the food is great! We were greeted quickly, informed they were a little short staffed, and it still felt like there were no problems. Great food, great drinks, great service.
