The person working the register was kind and friendly, but the bagels were not good. I've had NY bagels. These are not those. It was gummy and tasted like it was warmed in a microwave. It seemed like maybe they didn't clean well enough between batches because my cinnamon crunch bagel had more of jalapeno and sesame in and on it. My husband's bagel sandwich was also gummy and flavorless. I also ordered a salted caramel apple treat, which sounded so good, but was just a squishy mess. The restaurant was frigid even though the weather is mild. We will not be returning.

Friendly staff, great food - discovered them at the Farmers Market and returned for the bagels at their main location.
These bagels are clearly boiled and baked fresh! This morning we picked up a bakers dozen and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches - my classic bacon egg and cheese was not skimped on, had four or five slices of bacon on it!
I have yet to find a better bagel in Wilmington.

Simple order 3 items the kids who took the order couldn't get it right they combined 2 of them crispy bacon was burnt black. I can't be the only one who has seen how bad things have become. Checking your phone shouldn't be a important as your job. There's 5 year Olds at the Chinese restaurant who get the order right every time. But 20 year Olds can't smh I'll never order from there again which is a shame food and atmosphere is pretty good

I tried this place because they have empire in the name and that made me think NYC and let me tell you, this was the worst bagel that I ever had.I'm writing this so that the owner can read it because I've never had a bagel so bad and the owner has to know that so they can fix it.1. The bagel tastes like cardboard.2. I'm pretty sure these were not boiled.3. You gotta smear both halves.4. Don't say they're fresh cause they clearly are not. If you say fresh then that means they should be warm, chewy and fluffy inside.Listen to me owner, you can do better than this. You gotta take the time to learn how to make the perfect bagel. Please do your name justice and fix the bagels. Make them fresh, boil them and then bake them. Practice making a few recipes till you get it right.I can't believe how bad these were. They were worse than grocery store bagels.
Weakest bacon egg and cheese I’ve ever had. ONE piece of bacon folded up so it was on one side of the sloppily-compiled sandwich. Probably won’t go back or if I do, ensure to order extra protein to make it more than just bread and a paper thin egg.
