We were visiting from Michigan recently. And we were looking for a cool cafe. Down the street from where we were staying was Folks Cafe. We went in. OMG what a cool place. The owner Tammy is so nice and full of energy. We in fact went twice. If ever in the Wilmington area and looking for a cool, great food, great coffee and especially great friendly service FOLKS is the place.

If you want an authentic empanada that’s offered in several varieties, then check this place out. We got the choripan empanadas, banana walnut bread, a croissant sandwich, and coffees. The empanada pastry was flaky, and the filling was delicious. I was given a huge slice of banana walnut bread, and it was the best banana bread I’ve ever had. Awesome experience, and the food was so good! We got the lemon-blueberry cake, ham and cheese bagel, ham, cheese & corn empanada, deluxe egg and ham croissant, and an iced mocha. Such a charming place, and the (assumed) owner was so nice!
