We had a reservation at 8:30 PM, but were not seated until around 9:30–9:35 PM. After being seated, we continued to wait a long time with no staff coming to take our food order. Someone brought us water, but never returned to our table. It was not until close to 10:00 PM that someone finally asked if we had been served. Only then were we able to order, and the food did not arrive until 10:23 PM. Waiting nearly an hour after being seated made the reservation completely meaningless. What made this experience unacceptable was the restaurant automatically adding a $17.12 gratuity, despite the slow and inattentive service. Our total bill was $167.99—the cost was not the issue—but being forced to pay a tip without my consent is something I do not agree with. What made it even more disappointing is that this was our anniversary, yet we felt ignored and disrespected, while other tables appeared to receive attentive service. We came to this restaurant based on recommendations from many of our American friends and clients, which is why we chose to dine here. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Albeit the food and waitress were excellent the restaurant on a whole does not live up to the fine dining experience. The bartenders couldn't keep up and they lacked a personality. In addition, the restaurant does not hold any guests accountable for the lack of appropriate dress. Fine dining consists of great food, great ambiance, and guests conducting themselves with some certain level of class while dressing the part. According to Opentable the bare minimum dress code is supposed to be business casual and there were very few people who met the bare expectation. Not to mention, the dining area was too bright and way too loud. Jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, hoodies, and stocking caps not appropriate for a fine dining experience.

* We were there a year ago, so. Great vibe, excellent food. We liked the special of 3 courses for $50. The only problem I saw was the salad (and soup) service, in a place like this, should include fresh ground pepper. Both my wife and I, and two other tables near us had to ask for it, and then a fairly small grinder was brought and set on the table. Either have it on the table, or better yet, get some really big pepper grinders and have them do it for you.That being said, thanks to the owner for putting something upscale in the area, with this and Kipos, their sister restaurant across the street (every bit as good). Everyone was tired of fish tacos!
