We chose Halligan's for dinner last night because we have been extremely pleased in the past with both the food and the service. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed in both last night, as neither lived up to our expectations. I hope this was just a fluke and that Halligan's will continue to be a go-to place for our family dinners.
Our server was so friendly and kind. Thank you, Aubrey! Really good flatbread pizzas. The corned beef boxty was so good. The steak salad, excellent. Super selection of craft beer. Reasonable wine choices.
When we first moved from Chicago this was one of the first restaurant we tried since it was close to the house. It started off exceptional. Never crowded, but they had a decent sized menu and fantastic daily specials. Now they must have switched cooks or something... It's not the same.
