Been here a few times and the food and service are consistently excellent! The fresh catch is always great and is what keeps us coming back. The crab soup is also excellent. Service is always good.Only constructive feedback I have is that this evening the Mac & cheese starch of the day was an absolute disappointment. It was supposed to be Mac and cheese, but instead it was buttered bow-tie pasta with a little shredded cheddar cheese on top. Easy-Mac out of a box would’ve been significantly better.I will absolutely be back because the seafood is so good, but I recommend that if the side of the day is going to not be taken seriously that they don’t bother offering it that day.

We stopped here to eat after a trip to the beach. The vibe is really good at the restaurant and service is not half bad. The food is lacking in every way. No seasoning on any of the food. And hours after eating it I got really sick. The soda even tasted weird. Be careful what you eat from here. I had the steamer platter and my boyfriend had the fried captain platter. Nothing tasted good. And it was $130 for the entire bill. I don’t mind spending that but I would like some good seasoned food and not to be sick after eating.

Highly recommend! My large family (party of 18) dined here at the last minute on a Friday evening and this was, honestly, one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have ever had. After being told by another seafood restaurant in the area that they could not accommodate our party, we called Hieronymous and the friendly staff welcomed us in with open arms. We were seated immediately in a room upon arrival. The wait staff was friendly, fast and accommodating. Everyone’s food came out timely and looked and tasted great! They were even happy to take family pics of us when were done eating. We never felt rushed even though it was late and we knew the restaurant was closing soon. We were all in Wilmington for a funeral and this experience was definitely a positive ending to a tough day for us. We are in Wilmington often and will definitely be back soon!! Thank you Hieronymous management and staff!!

The food is excellent! Lightly breaded fried calamari, clams and oysters were excellent. Our waiter Matthew was very attentive and offered suggestions from the menu. The prices are reasonable and the portions plentiful. We will be back as we eat here often while visiting Wilmington.
