“This is my new go to for chili slaw dogs. I have been looking for a good one for sometime. Ive been craving one my whole pregnancy. It's been about 9 months and today I finally found it. They also have awesome fries and sweet tea. The lady behind the counter is super sweet. Major plus that they have a drive thru. The dining area is very clean, so are the restrooms. My husband and I will definitely be back soon.
Update: my husband and I have been here now a hand full of times. It is still awesome with awesome service. We always end up in conversation with the lady behind the counter. They have the best chili slaw dogs, fries and tea around. Everything is seasoned perfect and the perfect temperature. You can't bet. The prices either!“

“Great BBQ! The brisket was moist, great flavor , bark was great, smoke ring, all that. Felt like I was back in Texas! The pulled pork was great Eastern NC pulled pork. Buffalo Chips and hush puppies are nice side options. 5 stars! Will be back.“

“I’m a huge customer of The COOK OUT RESTAURANTS, especially the Carolina Beach Rd store. Most of the time the food is delicious and convenient. I’m particularly fond of the BBQ sandwich with Cole slaw and hot sauce . Their Huge sweet tea is a favorite as well as the Double Chocolate milkshake. The food is fresh and prepared per order. The line of cars can be overwhelming at times , but always seems to move quickly and efficiently. You never know who you will find in the drive thru line… I recently saw a HUGE MOTOR HOME squeezing through the drive thru line with a Big Banner saying WOMEN FOR TRUMP . See photos“

“They're usually on it, the guy that was in the window tonight was someone I wouldn't want to encounter again. How you are in the south but don't have manners is beyond me. I was respectful and he lacks customer service for sure. The others might be speedy but they don't lack decorum (spell check).“

“Been going here for years love this place! I ordered take out last week. I ordered it from another location by accident. I drove up thinking everything was good. They said they didn't have my order. Oh no I ordered from the other store. I was 1000 percent wrong. They graciously fix it no problem. I offered to pay for the other location food. They said no. They make my order in record time. I was shocked. They handled my mistake so well. Thank you very much!“
