when i first heard about the ibis i knew it was going to be a place i would really enjoy. not only do i enjoy music overall but have visited gravity records several times so seeing a collaboration between them was exciting to see. my first time at the ibis was definitely the most welcoming and played a big part in me continuing to come and grab a drink & have a chat with friends. i love the atmosphere, the music, & the cocktails always hit the spot. after the first time visiting, i started, realizing that the customer service and interactions overall were not that great. i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that they were possibly having an overwhelming and busy day. i will go ahead and mention that i am very respectful when it comes to me going out to public spaces. i have always been very good with my manners and would say i'm more patient than most people in our world these days. so for me to feel the need to say anything about this should say a lot in itself. i've been to the ibis about five times at this point and ever since the first time i have not been greeted with a welcoming vibe whatsoever. i'm not expecting much from the staff but basic phrases like "hey how are y'all doing?" or "how's it going?" are never used. not even a welcoming smile or anything. not only that but it seems like they stare at you & wait for you to say something first. i will also mention that this isn't only during cocktail hours. i've been there during coffee hours and the staff during that time seem to be the same. i really love this spot. it's an awesome place to have a casual drink or just to listen to some good music but i'm writing this because not only me but friends that have been there with their own friends have also had negative experiences with the staff. i have nothing against the staff, maybe they've just never worked a customer service job & don't realize that your body language and energy does affect the people around you. i just hate that i don't feel like can fully enjoy my time here when there's so much negative tension between the customers and staff. i hope there can be a meeting where this could be addressed, but overall beautiful spot and looking forward to future events.

This spot in Wilmington is undeniably one of the coolest places around! While the food is good, it's a tad on the pricey side for the quality, and the drinks are a bit small. However, what truly sets this place apart is the incredible atmosphere. The records spinning and the dim lighting create an amazing ambiance that enhances catching up with friends. I'll definitely be back on occasion!

I was blown away by the atmosphere, quality of service, and overall hospitality at the Ibis. I've visited there now four times and it's been a pleasure each time. The music is phenomenal. The decor is second to none. I'm not even a coffee person, but I've tried three different morning drinks there and every single one has been on point. So thankful to have a spot like this in Wilmington!

Service was nonexistent. They have tables outside which are pet friendly, but if you are alone with your pet there is no way to order. When I went in to try, one lady didn’t even greet me, just said" you can’t have dogs in here whom I could have claimed him as a service dog but that isn’t for me. I understand no dogs allowed however she wanted me to leave my dog outside in an unsecured area just to order a latte when there are 3 woman just standing behind the coffee bar with their hands in their pockets. I asked if they had someone that would come take my order and, without a thought about it, she said no. I asked for her name and she just shook her head. I would have understood had they had a line or been swamped with orders, but neither was the case. Poor customer service at its finest. In response to their complaint about writing a public review. This is exactly what review sites are for to give an honest review of something. I enjoy the other businesses you own, and I was disappointed that this one hasn’t lived up to them. Hopefully that turns around. As for reaching out in other less public ways - I called the listed number twice, sent a text message as instructed on the voicemail, as well as sent a message to the Instagram account.Thank you for acknowledging the staff's error this morning, and to the owners that choose to tie their dogs up unacompanied outside. That’s awesome. I am not such a person.

Finally got to try Ibis. Definite 5 stars. With Justin and Kailey how could it not be? Domo with Tequila was amazing. Martinis were also amazing. My favorite was the No5 but would also recommend the Heart of Glass. Really can't go wrong here.

Ibis is a very welcome addition to Wilmington. They have stepped up the game and brought to our fair city an experience that will be appreciated by we locals and leave a lasting impression on the many visitors we receive annually.

I came here for drinks a few weeks ago, and decided to walk over (it's about a mile from my house) today with my dog to check out the coffee side of the business as an upscale treat instead of our usual trip to PCJ.2 stars for the music and the cocktails that are slightly better than the standard here in Wilmington; -3 stars for not even allowing me to order & take something to go because I had a dog with me.If you're not a dog owner and prefer to not be around them, give it a try. If you enjoy that Wilmington is a dog friendly city, go elsewhere. Thanks for reading.

First love the interior bar is warm and I inviting, music via the dj gorgeous. However have a bone to pick. Teeny tiny glasses . Not the norm. Martini and Manhattan. What the heck up with this!! Portion Police RED ALERT! Perfectly crafted and delicious but the cocktail shrinkification was alarming . Go somewhere else if you want a normal sized drink . If posh is your desire and care less for money well spent then this is your place . If you just want to jive to tuned and throw money around YES!

Who knew this was here in the Soda Pop District? Great atmosphere! It's a combo coffee shop in steroids and a mixed drink bar. We went there with friends after Church. The latte I had was great. They play LP's on a turntable with some nice jazz music. We sat at the bar and had a very enjoyable time.

Another glorious masterpiece from the creative minds of Matt & Abbye. The Ibis is visually stunning and a sensory experience with the record spinning from Gravity Records. Despite being a busy Saturday morning, the staff was attentive and operations ran smoothly. I grabbed an iced dirty chai and the pimento, egg, and bacon biscuit to go. The coffee was delicious and the biscuit was incredible (granted nothing bad comes out of the Salt + Charm kitchen). It was warmed up perfectly and put other breakfast biscuits to shame. I can’t wait to come back and hang out for a while to really take everything in, not to mention the complete vibe I’m sure The Ibis offers at night.
