I walk in and it’s dead, but my order isn’t ready and took 10 more minutes after I arrived. It was difficult to get the employee’s attention. Certainty a frustrating and aggravating experience. I work hard for my money and don’t plan to continue giving it to such a poor organization.

The service is great considering they are perpetually understaffed. These poor servers are always busting their butts just to stay afloat. Working way harder than their pay rate I'm sure. They have a FULL floor and only 2 servers?! And this is the norm here. Management/corporate needs to do better.

IHOP here in Monkey Junction, Wilmington looks great outside but is worn terribly inside. The sheet rock old paint is visible, woodwork over the lobby entry is poorly constructed. It just needs a complete interior upgrade. I saw 3 l emplyees working and felt bad for our server. She apologized several times. She had the first front area and was playing hostess. Our silverware was nasty and we asked for more. The food was great! Service was great all things considered. Looks like a male employee was dropped off around 10...hopefully he was some help.

My second time here since I visit my daughter going to school in Wilmington and the service was slow both times. I thought going in around 10 AM on a Saturday would not be busy but wait staff was few and far between. Numerous open table but not seating customers. We were there just under 1.5 hours to get breakfast. I like IHop a lot and eat at them back home regularly but this one is VERY slow. I will be going to the nearby Waffle House locations as at least I know they will be timely. Whoever is managing this underperforming store needs to go or have a major corrective action plan.

I had the opportunity to witness a genuine cluster this morning. Party of 10 walked out while waiting, despite 1/3 of the restaurant empty. Hostess tripled worked as server and busser. Hope she enjoys my 200% tip. Kitchen workers had more than one loud argument with wait staff. Food warm, choice of apple or grape jelly for my English muffin!

I love IHOP but I was so disappointed in this visit. I always read the reviews and noticed an issue with service but food ok so I took my chances. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and no one was even present, they were all in the cook area, no employees in dining area at all. After ordering 2 orders of just short stacks, it took 30 min to get our food and half my pancakes were burnt If you do not have enough staff to run your business, shut her down 😞 Why the staff continued to stay in the back with cooks and not out in dining area blows my mind which equals bad management!!! With this many reviews about the service why would someone not address this issue???

We were starving when we came in and I forgot to take pictures of the food before digging in. It just looked too good to wait, I guess. The double blueberry pancakes were so yummy. I couldn't eat them all so I saved them and had them the next morning. And they were still yummy. My hubby got the strawberry banana French toast. The fruit was fresh and delicious. The strawberries are in a syrup which was very good. The only issue for my husband was that the bread was very thick... it seemed even thicker than Texas toast.. and it didnt have that French toast flavor. So it kind of tasted like eating strawberries and bananas on warm bread. We were still full for many hours after eating. Our server was amazing. I wish I remembered his name. He was personable and attentive without being overly so. And he was just a pleasant person. The place was very clean! This is the first time ive been to a breakfast place without a sticky table!

Very unpleasant location, host ignores you for 5 minutes before askinh for your name without even greet, half of the tables on this location but there were a lot of people on the wait list, apparently they don't have enough servers which make your wait longer, In general, sloppy service
