I Had a bite of one of their cakes at a children’s birthday party. I said this is the cake I want for my 60th! Two years later, I turned 60 I had two cakes made by them. They were absolutely beautiful! super super moist tasted amazing will not ever get a cake anywhere else.!! Real icing too! Not that fake stuff!! LOVE LOVE!!!

Loved the entire experience working with Imaginary Cakes. The number of options was incredible and we enjoyed our tasting to see what would be best for our big day. Matt and Courtney were incredibly responsive when I changed a flavor for our tasting at the last minute. Our cake was yummy and we loved the option of having different flavors for each layer. We left flowers at our reception venue for them to decorate on arrival. It came out not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful and exactly like I pictured. My husband just mentioned tonight if we could order another cake from them just for fun lol Highly recommend for all your events!

Courtney at Imaginary Cakes is absolutely incredible! From the start, she was professional, kind, and so understanding. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free with her clear and thorough communication. I truly appreciated how she took the time to understand exactly what we wanted. The Harry Potter birthday cake she created for my daughter was nothing short of magical—it exceeded all of our expectations! Every detail was perfect, and you could see the love and care she put into it. Thank you, Courtney, for making my daughter’s birthday so special!

Fantastic cake! It was so good and everything was so well done from the tasting, communication, and delivery. They went above and beyond to give us such a perfect cake! Rum with mocha icing tasted so good together! She really truely did amazing. Everyone at wedding was complimenting the flavor and appearance!

Matt and Courtney were awesome to work with. Very receptive and easy to communicate with. They made a heart shaped wedding cake and a key lime pie flavored birthday cake for us and both were fantastic. Would recommended to others.

Super bummed about this place! We ordered a cake tasting box for our wedding, then weren't able to pick it up when it was fresh the day of due to the owner texting the "wrong phone number". Let that slide, but then upon opening the box only received 2 out of our top 4 flavors choices. How can you possibly decide upon a cake for the biggest day of your life without trying basics like vanilla?? After contacting The owner to try and rectify the situation, they were unwilling to make it right and let us try any other flavors without paying another $25 fee. Sadly disappointed & do not recommend.

This is the second I’m ordering from Imaginary Cakes, if I could give 10 stars I would! The heart cake was for my birthday last year, the second was for my niece’s first birthday, and everyone loved it! And kept asking for the location. Everything about both cakes was amazing from the designs down to the taste, just delicious!

First, we had tastings with four cake companies before choosing who would make our wedding cake. Our last tasting was Imaginary Cakes and we were blown away! We ordered the yellow cake with strawberry filling (OH MY GOD it's good!) and vanilla buttercream icing. It was incredible! Our guests loved it too! We had not one slice left! Communication was excellent from start to finish, the delivery and setup was flawless and on time, and the design itself was just what we wanted. One year later, my husband ordered a top tier cake just like the original in order to celebrate our anniversary! We literally made jokes about counting down the days until we got to have that cake again. Delicious! See photos! If you're considering, you will not be disappointed!

If you’re doing what I did and browsing the endless list of bakers in Wilmington, you can stop now because Imaginary Cakes is THE ONE! Not only did they make this amazing beautiful cake for a friend’s birthday, they were great to communicate with and completely nailed the design we were looking for. Not to mention how incredibly delicious the cake was!
