After spending 5 hours buying a car at Mazda, we stopped in here for a late lunch. Ordered the lamb chops, nice sweet flavor. Fries were perfectly salted. The Caesar salad was way too soggy. Mine was with chicken, my daughter had the plain. Looks like most people come for the drinks. Service was 5 stars though. Plenty of parking.

Nate was awesome, very polite, energetic and informative. The chicken pot pie and crab cakes were a hit! What a cool place in Wilmington to go to.

I Normally get the seafood platter or lamb chops and enjoy some drinks. Morgan, Martin and Kate are my favorite bartenders. My buddy i brought for the first time who is quite the drink connoisseur was really pleased with Morgan as our bartender. I come here all the time so chances are if you read this you may see me here. I normally get the lamb chops or seafood platter and Crab dip is a great starter!

It pains me to write anything less than a 5 star review . I have previously visited this restaurant about two years ago while on vacation. It was sooooo good we came back two days later for brunch which was also just fantastic. Today the experience was very different. I ordered the crab cakes that comes with asparagus as well as the cheese risotto. The crab cakes were just not great, mushy and had a lot of filler. Additionally the asparagus was way over seasoned, so salty I had to stop eating it. The staff was very gracious, took the plate back and offered to change plate however I declined ordering anything additional. My kids ordered the cheeseburger with fries .. also extremely salty (both the fries and burger). They did not finish it either. My husband ordered the short rib flat bread and he said it was delicious which was nice. Maybe it was just today that things were off. May try again another time

I have to say we go to Johnnylukes quite often for Sunday brunch or dinner and we enjoy ordering at the bar. About 2 months ago we sat at the bar and had drinks and ordered dinner. People came and went on either side of us and we were still waiting on our entree's. After about 1/2 hour, which I think is a generous amount of time. We inquired if they fired our entrees. We had pups to feed at home so our time was limited. We came to find not only did they not fire our entrees, the bartender never placed the order, so we opted to get it to go. After another 30 min. of waiting, we opted to request the check and leave. The manager comped the meal and drinks so we left a tip and went on our way. Bygones be bygones and we continued to visit. Tonight we visited and sat at the bar. Had drinks and dinner and then ordered desert. Again the bartender acknowledged the order and we waited. 20 min. goes by and I inquired about our order with another bartender who realized the order was not placed. The original bartender apologized and I explained this wasn't the first time they F**k up an order and I just wanted the check. The manager comes by and then another manager, who remembered us from the first event comes over to lecture us about using profanity to her staff upon which I apologized and she continued to emphasize three more times! She comped the check again but honestly, I'm not comfortable going back to get lectured from a restaurant manager. I've managed restaurants for 30 years and the cardinal rule is to ensure the customer leaves happy. Obviously, that didn't happen. If you go there make sure the server confirms you order. Hopefully the owners will train their managers.
