We can only comment on takeout and have only been here once to the Porter’s neck, location, but the food was very lackluster bland and just really failed to reach the hype of the person recommending it. Another local brewery had recommended takeout from this location so we went with it. The tacos were bland and had five pieces of lettuce on them each. Very little cheese, very little in the way of fixing to go with the taco inside. The pulled chicken taco was basically a spoonful of pulled chicken thrown onto the tortilla. My wife’s guacamole was brown/oxidized at the edges and watery at the same time. This is beyond any sort of just made today but already browned. It was old and unacceptable. maybe the food is better if you eat there, but this takeout was some of the worst that we have had in recent memory..

The carne asada meat was so so very good... The chips were good, the salsa was good. This restaurant feels fresh and yet has your favorites, just better.

**Side note/personal note... The last time I came to the coast I went to Tower 7 in Morehead, I was excited to eat there, but things seemed sloppy and the order wasn't done correctly. (my understanding is that they are part of the same restaurant family.) So I was a bit cautious going into K38. K38 is way above. The plating was beautiful, food was good and staff was awesome.. I will be returning to K38. Above expectations. (custom meal item in picture)

Excellent local chain with delicious and (relatively) affordable prices. Our service on a Saturday night was good and everyone was super helpful and cheerful. We even had a minor issue (not restaurants fault) and the staff and manager were very attentive. Will return to this location.

It was nice to be back to one of my Favorite places at Porters Neck. Never been disappointed. Our waitress McKenzie was absolutely amazing and we were quite impressed with her knowledge of the menu and helped us around food allergies. A+ to her and all the staff members. Will sure to be back.

I’ve been to K38 multiple times but this time was especially special. I came with a party of 19 for my dear friend’s retirement party. Our server Caroline was the sweetest girl and helped with our every need and request. Any time any of us had a question about a menu item, she immediately knew an answer and even gave us some recommendations. She really made this experience magical for us and helped us celebrate our friend. Not only was Caroline was exceptional, so was the hostess when we were seated. And we even spoke to the manager and they were very kind.
