This place has fantastic food and wine!! You can't leave without try their chocolate mousse. It's perfect flavor and not overly sweet.
Great spot to watch The sunset. They are closed January and February.
The specials are worth considering and the quality of the wine is very good. I love eating here each time I visit Wilmington!
Wonderful little cafe & bistro right on the water way. Very good food and a decent selection of wines. Dog friendly too! The owner, Marie, was very nice to talk to; an absolute go-to if you're in the area
Authentic European food, best French bread
This place has amazing wine and turnovers. Super Authentic French Cuisine. Great sunsets of you catch it right!
Mediterranean trio is a great app for sharing and very, very flavorful!
Perfect for brunch or sunsets. Right on the Cape Fear river. Delicious light French fare, great wine, wonderful staff. I ho every Mother's day and several times a year!
I have always enjoy the atmosphere, service, food, wine, espresso and most of all the mousse! Marie, Pierre Eric and the staff clearly enjoy what they do and that shows! Well worth a visit!
Cute French cafe that reminds me of stopping in one in France. It was really hot outside but Rose was good. Just had drinks but food looked and smelled really good.

Amazing gem in Wilmington. Fresh menu, impressive wine list, and best of all wonderful staff. Martha our server was attentive and knowledgeable, highly recommend.
It is a neat little place but to be a European a cafe and not have a single coffee or tea listed on the menu is odd...although they do have delicious espresso and cappuccino, just not on the menu...my recommendation would be to expand the coffee/tea/dessert options in addition to all the other wonderful things they are offering
My wife and I had our 13th anniversary here and I must say I am blown away. Reservation was a breeze and they even held 2 tables in case we wanted to move outside. The staff was amazing and couldn't ask for better service. The food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back!
Actually, I give Le Catalan 4.5 Stars! Great food, sweet location with lovely views (of Wilmington's life-line, the Cape Fear River), coupled with getting to know the charming owners, Pierre and Marie, make this place a MUST dining experience. Casual but delightfully enjoyable, the wines do compliment every aspect of Le Catalan's cuisine. Venture down the River Walk a bit and savor the discovery ... Highly Recommended. Bobby
We visited Le Catalan on a cloudy day during a business trip. I absolutely loved it. The restaurant is super cute and has a relaxing vibe and atmosphere. I had a dirty flamingo cocktail, which was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Then I had the tomato and basil soup, the special brocoli and cheddar quiche and for dessert the Catalan cream (similar to creme brulée). I loved every single course. The food was delicious and tge staff was friendly. Visiting Le Catalan and being able to sit outside viewing the boarwalk and the river was the highlight of my visit to Wilmington.
