It is a neat little place but to be a European a cafe and not have a single coffee or tea listed on the menu is odd...although they do have delicious espresso and cappuccino, just not on the menu...my recommendation would be to expand the coffee/tea/dessert options in addition to all the other wonderful things they are offering

My wife and I had our 13th anniversary here and I must say I am blown away. Reservation was a breeze and they even held 2 tables in case we wanted to move outside. The staff was amazing and couldn't ask for better service. The food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back!

Great food, sweet location with lovely views (of Wilmington's life-line, the Cape Fear River), coupled with getting to know the charming owners, Pierre and Marie, make this place a MUST dining experience. We visited Le Catalan on a cloudy day during a business trip. I absolutely loved it. The restaurant is super cute and has a relaxing vibe and atmosphere. I had a dirty flamingo cocktail, which was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Then I had the tomato and basil soup, the special brocoli and cheddar quiche and for dessert the Catalan cream (similar to creme brulée). I loved every single course. The food was delicious and tge staff was friendly. Visiting Le Catalan and being able to sit outside viewing the boarwalk and the river was the highlight of my visit to Wilmington.
