The owner of this establishment assaulted a friend of mine back in 2020. He came up to him telling him to leave as he "didn't have money to pay for drinks". which was strange since nothing had been said like that and he did have his own money, I would've payed for him otherwise. After an argument over those points (along with telling us he was the owner, which we didn't first believe as he seemed to be drinking with another group), he proceeds to kick just him out. As I followed (with the owner immediately behind us and cursing at this point , very obviously drunk) and got towards the stairs to exit, he then took my buddy and slammed him into the concrete wall. He waited till we were just out of site from anyone still at the top level bar. His massive bouncer stood in front of me, blocking and ordering to stay back. I proceeded to then watch my friend be beaten repeatedly as he was screaming in pain and trying to just cover himself up. The swelling made him unrecognizable, had to drive him to the hospital to be treated afterwards. While he didn't wish to press charges, I felt the need for it to still be out in the open.

I was here for a Neebs Gaming event in the middle of January. The bar is fantastic with reasonably priced drinks and a great bartender. Nothing beats the view as you have an open rooftop view of both the river and the Battleship North Carolina. The theater is small compared to the Palace, but it is far larger than I was expecting to see in a bar scene. The sound quality was amazing and there was absolutely no stuffiness that you sometimes get in small theaters. I'm not sure I'd enjoy the open-aired bar as much in the humid summer months, but I can say the dead of winter was spectacular. Also note: the elevator works, it is slow and just takes a while. I didn't know until I walked all the flights of stairs and got to the top just as I heard the doors ding open.

You want a view and a beverage, indoors or outdoors, here it is. This used to be a masonic temple in the late 1800s, they have condos on four floors and the fifth floor is divided into a bar and a theatre.

I went out last night and I was told that I wad banned without an explanation. I only been to this club 3 times this year and I’ve never done anything to get myself banned because I would’ve remembered. But It’s ok cause this is the LAST club I would pick to go to anyways, I just wanted to know why I was banned without an explanation.
