I haven't eaten here in several years. It was as good as I remember. We got the traditional cheese dip, grilled chicken and nutterfluffer fondue for dessert. We ate every single bite!

We made reservations at the Little Dipper to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were immediately seated and there was a card on the table that said Happy Birthday! My daughter loved it! We opted to do 2 small bowls of different cheeses- the Tuscany Sun-dried Tomato and the Cheddar Ale. Both were delicious! We were thrilled that they were able to accommodate my daughter's garlic allergy and leave that out of both cheeses. We then followed that with 2 small chocolate bowls- the Black and Tan and a plain Dark Chocolate- with the classic dippers. I joked with our server about needing a to go cup for the left over chocolate so I could drink it with a straw and she brought us take out bowls! Overall we felt well taken care of, enjoyed incredible fondue, and left feeling happy.

Train wreck. Excuses across the board. 30 min late to seat our reservation, all food took waaaay too much time and the in between were unbearable. Food was average but had to be Michelin Star with that wait.

Perfect date night! I have Celiacs and they took down that information over the phone, our waitress knew about it when we were sat, and she was very knowledgeable on what was gluten free and how accommodations could be made for me to enjoy! We made reservations and we were seated as soon as we came in. We enjoyed more than the Melting Pot, and on the plus side it was cheaper than Melting Pot (and we got drinks!). We will be back for some more in the future!

We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary at The Little Dipper and, unfortunately, our experience was mixed. The highlight of the evening was our server, who went above and beyond to make us feel special. However, we endured an excessively long wait for our food, which took away from the celebration.
To make matters worse, the quality of the dishes has noticeably declined since the change in management. This was our second visit with similar issues of long waits and mediocre food, leaving us disappointed. Given these repeated experiences, we are unlikely to return in the future.

I've lived in Wilmington since roughly 2012 and have always planned on visiting, but dragged my feet until last week. A HUGE mistake!! The partner and I planned a date night, made a reservation, and headed to the Little Dipper to check out their "Traditional" 3 course fondue dinner. We were greeted by the kindest hostess (who sat us five minutes before our reservation) and our server was with us only moments later to take drink orders. Our server was amazing and the service itself was *exceptional! With so many years in the restaurant industry, it does something for my soul when the waitstaff are friendly and obviously enjoy where they're working and what they do! Not only was the service flawless- the food was UNREAL. After visiting a chain fondue restaurant in the area, I thought I "didn't like fondue"- evidently I had never had GOOD fondue! Who knew! The "Chedder Ale" cheese was rich and the depth of flavor had me wanting to lick the bowl. The cheese plate was hearty and filled with meats, breads, crackers, and fruits and (While I can't recall what cooking style we opted for) the filet was butter soft and melted in your mouth. I CAN'T believe I waited so long to try The Little Dipper, and I can't wait to introduce TLD to my family, friends, coworkers, and clients in the very near future. Thank you, Little Dipper management and team, for an unforgettable and delicious Thursday afternoon! I'll see you soon! :)

In town for a wedding, came across this vibrant restaurant. As my better half says, our experience was more of an event than a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed all four courses, especially the chocolate turtle fondue dessert. Our server anticipated our pace and was ready and prepared for each successive course. The main course, consisting of meats, vegetables and starches was well seasoned to perfection in a white wine broth. What a great experience, as it was coupled with our weekend rehearsal dinner and wedding reception! 3 for 3 in Wilmington NC - John & Sharon - from Pittsburgh PA
