As always, the food was amazing. Little Dipper has a broad selection, and even has vegan options. The staff and servers are attentive and amiable. A definite recommend for adults and kids (the kids love that they can have cheese and chocolatefor dinner)!

We their brunch today and it was exceptional! A great option for downtown Wilmington as the brunch options get busy quickly, especially during tourist season. They accommodated our table of 6 with two fondue heaters built into the table. I had the Brown Sugar Shakin coffee cocktail, which was delicious.

I took my 7-year-old daughter to The Little Dipper for a dinner date prior to our church's annual Daddy Daughter Dance. The service, presentation, atmosphere, and food were all exceptional. I love knowing that I can count on this local gem to always deliver for special occasions.

Great atmosphere, food was good and we had so much fun with fondue. LOVED the new cheese offering with the sundried tomatoes!!! A LOT of quality food so good value as well. They have a great drink menu too. Took our daughter there for her birthday and our server made her night special! The vide is great too, we were inside but never knew others were around us. Can't wait to go back to The Little Dipper!

Acoustics are horrible, I couldn't even hear the people I was sitting next to. We were up front at the table by the big window; they need to put in acoustic panels and curtains at the side so the window that would help absorb sound. I think when there are groups of women and children, the high-pitched voices make the sounds bouncing around worse, and this night they were a table of women and another of children across from us. We were a party of 6, and they would bring out 1 pot for the table and then 5-10 min. later they would bring out another pot for the other end of the table; we felt they should come out at the same time or closer together, and our waitress had a helper. Little Dipper used to be my favorite restaurant in Wilmington, but, it is no longer my favorite with the change of the menu. The choices are not as good as they were before, and you don't get veggies to cook. They do dump some into the cooking broth, but you don't receive any to cook with your entree and have to fish them out when you want to eat them. The cheese fondue course was good with several items to dip, and it was a sufficient amount of cheese. Our service was good except for the wait for the second cooking pots.

I have wanted to visit this restaurant for over a decade. However, when I was married my husband never took me here no matter how many times I asked.Fast forward to this year, I am now separated and moved to Wilmington to get away. Today, March 8th is my Birthday, and I decided I wanted to treat myself somewhere I’ve always wanted to go but never had the opportunity. You can imagine my disappointment that I couldn't make a reservation for one, EVEN AT THE BAR. I sent a message about my dilemma via the Little Dipper website over a week ago, but they never responded, I now realize I’m not welcome. Other restaurants do allow this so it’s not uncommon.I now realize that they don't care about single patrons. Why is there such a stigma of wanting to eat by yourself? I'm moving out of Wilmington in eight days, and this is just yet another reason why I'm glad to be getting out of this town.
