expensive but their tye dye pizza is my third favorite thing to eat in the whole known universe

15 women is never easy on a waiter but Issac handled it with great aplomb. Each drink was on a separate bill (pizzas were on one) and just after he did bills, some gals decided to have another glass of wine. But he was calm and truly made them feel like no problem. The pizzas were delicious. None of us had been to Mellow Mushroom before and we loved this downtown location at 208 N Water St. Will definitely return and recommend it. Oh and although not on menu they made us some traditional margarita pizzas. It was a great way to start the night before heading out on the Ghost Walk.

The servers are always very friendly and helpful and I can eat delicious dairy free pizza here! I have severe allergies and I always get such good food here

We always enjoy mellow mushroom. I know of better independent local pizza places, but MM is a consistently better-than-average franchise performer. We ordered to-go on a holiday weekend Friday evening. The kitchen was clearly slammed. Estimated wait time was about 25 minutes from the time of order. Our order was actually ready about an hour after ordering. The wait wasn’t at all a problem, we get it, Friday night etc. But it’s a real pet peeve when the estimated ready-time is that far off. This seems like something that could be improved. Otherwise though, our experience was fine & I wouldn’t have any concerns coming back.

I've been to mellow mushroom several times over the years in GA and NC. It consistently remains to be a great family restaurant. The gluten free crust could be a bit more creative, better cheese. Especially the taco one. Good taste and not like a piece of card board.

We visited Mellow Mushroom in Wilmington after driving an RV from Houston, TX. We walked in as weary travelers and left as refreshed, highly-satisfied patrons. The staff was warm and inviting while Andy went that extra mile (no pun intended!). We felt like instant friends. He made exceptional recommendations from the menu by taking the time to ask about our likes and dislikes. He didn’t fail with a drink suggestion, either! Ha ha. Thank you, Andy, for turning our day right around!
