We always enjoy mellow mushroom. I know of better independent local pizza places, but MM is a consistently better-than-average franchise performer. We ordered to-go on a holiday weekend Friday evening. The kitchen was clearly slammed. Estimated wait time was about 25 minutes from the time of order. Our order was actually ready about an hour after ordering. The wait wasn’t at all a problem, we get it, Friday night etc. But it’s a real pet peeve when the estimated ready-time...
I've been to mellow mushroom several times over the years in GA and NC. It consistently remains to be a great family restaurant. The gluten free crust could be a bit more creative, better cheese. Especially the taco one. Good taste and not like a piece of card board.
We visited Mellow Mushroom in Wilmington after driving an RV from Houston, TX. We walked in as weary travelers and left as refreshed, highly-satisfied patrons. The staff was warm and inviting while Andy went that extra mile (no pun intended!). We felt like instant friends. He made exceptional recommendations from the menu by taking the time to ask about our likes and dislikes. He didn’t fail with a drink suggestion, either! Ha ha. Thank you, Andy, for turning our day right...
