A friend of mine was craving Indian food, so three of us went to Nawab, our first time there, for lunch. She told me they have a buffet lunch. However, when we arrived it was not set up. The gentleman stated they did not have the buffet. I’m not sure if it was due to Covid safety or if their business is so slow that it would be a waste of food to put out.We were the only diners at lunch. The room felt eerie, as it was so quiet. It would have been nice to hear some music play.We ordered the Samosa appetizer. It’s an order of two, so we asked for a third one ($2.50 supplement). We weren’t specific of which Samosa and got the vegetable one. They were crispy and flavorful inside, and not greasy at all. Two of us ordered the Chicken Tikki Masala; and our other friend ordered the shrimp Vindaloo. These are served with basmati rice; however, only two servings were provided (minus a star for this). We did have enough to pass around and for our leftovers. Still, three servings should have been provided. We also ordered the mixed Naan. I liked the one with the potatoes inside. We all thought our entrees were excellent. The chicken was very tender but we agreed we would have liked more vegetables which is one reason I like Indian buffets so that I can include a good variety of vegetables to my meal. Plus it’s a better deal than ordering a la carte. The sauces were creamy and delicious. I tasted the Vindaloo – not intensely spicy compared to others that I’ve tried, but still with a good amount of heat. Four stars for the food. The interior had some nice Indian artwork but the place needs to be cleaned. The floors are sticky and the bathroom could use a good cleaning (minus one star). I sure hope this place survives. Maybe we were there of an off day. I would like to go back when they do have their buffet.

Nest Indian food in Wilmington by far!! Great family atmosphere, great selection of dishes, and not enough people eat there!! This is one of my favorite places to eat at in Wilmington. The food is authentic Indian food, with amazing flavors, colors, and spice. The owners and staff are great and the prices aren't bad at all. If you haven't been there yet, GO THERE!!

Our lunch today was wonderful! I had the mango chicken. Definitely delicious! We're going back again, wishing we lived closer

Very good food. Had some slight issues with the pick up time given to me by grub hub, so maybe call before driving to pick up. The pick up is a bit strange as they don't know who ordered what.. but i (hopefully) think that was just a new employee learning. I wouldn't let that sway you from trying them out though! The food ultimately worth it and filling!

We had an absolutely amazing time. The food was so good I just wish they weren't so far away. We will make the drive again for sure and probably sooner rather then later.

The restaurant is delicious and the owner Sunny is a very kind human being. My daughter had an allergic reaction to cashews in a dish. Sunny called several times to check on her and offered her free meals, cashew free, afterwards. He couldn't have been more thoughtful. We recommend Nawab to anyone who loves authentic Indian food!

We greatly enjoyed our lunch. First timers here but not new to Indian food. The quality and attention to detail was comparable to our favorite restaurant in Charlotte. We got chicken vindaloo and the yellow lentil dish. Both were awesome and had enough to take home for dinner. The owner(? ) Sonny (?) was very helpful, personable, and taught us some interesting tidbits about our dishes. Super informative but not over the top. Will definitely return. Naan was excellent!

Amazing food. I am a vegetarian but my husband eats meat and we both have loved every dish we’ve gotten. You have to try their paneer 65!

Food is great. We've loved Nawab for years and even our kids love it! Only slight complaint is that it sometimes takes a long time for delivery and once they cancelled our order because they were too busy but overall, they are so kind, and the food is always incredible! So so yummy!

Was craving gobi manchurian so I decided to try this place. First off, if it was acceptable to drink the dipping sauce that comes with the veggie samosas, I would do it! The samosas themselves have a perfectly-spiced, hearty filling and exterior is just right--kind of flaky but doesn't fall apart when you're eating it. Now the for gobi manchurian. It was good. Not spicy and the cauliflower itself was cooked well. I'm used to it being made with peppers and onion but this one had no peppers and all onion. For me there was too much onion, but overall the flavor was good. Would try their other dishes for sure.

Fabulous, authentic Indian food in a beautiful setting. I let the gentleman owner order for me. He chose Chicken Lazeez ~ which translates to "chicken delicious." And it was! 5 stars for an exceptional experience ~ including a lesson on black and green cardamom. Thank you so much!

Great service, Awesome food, Authentic taste. The best halal place to eat in the Wilmington area. The chef and server knows what they are providing and they are confident about the taste. A bit pricey, about $20+ per person but worth every penny.
