Niche Kitchen and Bar

I just called the restaurant RE reservations and got the message notifying callers that the restaurant was closed after 11 years as a business. This restaurant had good food and I'm sorry we will no longer be able to eat there.

The food was very good and the service was top notch. If you have room for dessert after your meal, you definitely can't go wrong with the key lime pie!

Decided to try this place when all the restaurants in Carolina Beach had a 1.5 hour wait and would not accept reservations. Called ahead and had a table ready for us outside when we got there. Wait staff was attentive and courteous. Meal was great, much better than your typical "beach" restaurant. Had a nice roasted beet salad and we tried two fish dishes and two wines, all good. Didn't have room for dessert but would try it next time.

As much as I would like to keep this place a secret it is just... incredible. My wife is what I would call a very picky eater, I know be careful, and this is her favorite place to eat by far. Donna and her staff work very hard to provide a great experience!

It is a great local kitchen and bar! Scallop appetizer is wonderful along with a lot of their food. I don’t think you will go wrong with any choice.

Neat little hole-in-the-wall. Has been consistently good for years. Try the fried green tomatoes or Pickled beet salad.

This is becoming my favorite restaurant. The food and service is always good. Treat yourself to a great meal at a fair price.

A nice place for dinner. In a shopping center. You would know how nice it is inside from outside. Great outdoor seating that is covered and heated.

Used to come here somewhat regularly because it was in a convenient / good area, and I would pass by it often. The food was decent enough, kind of bland for my taste, but it was fairly consistent with what you'd get. The staff were pretty friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. Unfortunately, if there are any more than say 15 people in the restaurant at a time, the staff can't cope with the increase in people. I went there with 3 of my family members to have dinner after an event we went to (pre-pandemic), and after we ordered our drinks / appetizers, several large groups showed up to dine in the outside patio. After the larger group showed up, everyone inside was thrown to the wayside in order to prioritize everyone outside. No waiters stopped by to check on anyone, your drinks wouldn't get refilled, and you certainly couldn't get any food ordered (let alone receive any!) I heard several other groups inside complaining about this, but the staff / owner seemed pretty blasé about the whole affair, and pretty much just said "sorry, but it is what it is, it's a large group and we can't ignore our customers." What does that make aeveryone else inside that was there first?We weren't able to finally get our food and leave until about 2 hours later that night, and it was getting quite late in the night for what was supposed to be a nice, simple, early dinner. I haven't been back there since, and probably will never be back, because of the appalling treatment from the owner + staff. Havent really felt like I've been missing anything!

We absolutely loved this restaurant! Their food was top notch. The servers were very nice. We could actually hear each other talk. If you have not been here this restaurant is amazing. You won't be disappointed.
