Excellent food. Great customer service. Very clean. Love the variety of menu.
We went out of our way to stop for lunch here on our way to Myrtle Beach, based on TripAdvisor's reviews. The food was not good at all. It was all overcooked, meat tough, vegetables not fresh. The food had sat out too long and replenished on the buffet. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Plus you had to pay extra for desserts. And it was way overpriced.
Good spot for soul food; love the collards and mac n cheese. Personable staff. Recently moved to Wilmington on my preferred list of local restaurants to frequent.
Had smothered pork chops, yams & cabbage. Food was nicely seasoned & a very friendly staff.
Our family decided to try this place and was not disappointed!! All the food we had was extremely good. The service was top notch. Jewel our waitress is one of the daughters that own/work there and she was a hoot. Told us the entire story of the family history in the restaurant. Hard working folks that make great food.
So incredible!!! We were a family of four and had a great meal, so many choices it has hard to pick, but every meal was great!! Super people a great experience!! And…clean bathrooms!!
Great food and great people! Someone had the catfish, butter beans n okra, the chicken n rice, yams, collards….all was GREAT!
Horrible customer service and small amount of food for the price. Some of the food ok but wasn’t hot at all and wasn’t cooked all the way
I would happily live the rest of my days eating nothing but collards and cornbread at Nippy's. Yummy macaroni and cheese: not sloppy, just straightforward perfect. Potato salad that tastes like potato salad, NOT just potatoes with pickle juice and miracle whip. Chicken and pork ribs falling-off-the-bone tender and flavorful. But please eat the collards with your cornbread. You'll be back.
Yo!! Gigi welcomed us in like we were family, sat us down and took great care of us as we experienced some of the best home cooking in Wilmington. This place IS soul food. Everything was made fresh to order, nothing frozen, every bite delicious. The mullet and shrimp were amazing, the Texas pete hot sauce to accompany the seafood was a nice touch of hot. The beef stew made me want to never leave... Mac n Cheese is award winning, the northern beans with okra sent my taste buds to the moon. Seriously, if you’re from here - I’m jealous. If you’re just passing through like us, stop here and eat. It is a must!
