Used to have great staff but it’s changed

A special place! They have steak and salad but I say try something more interesting. We got many seafood dishes and some Italian fare. Every bite was absolutely excellent. For me, the appetizers were my favorite part. Relaxed atmosphere but still exceptional service you expect with fine dining. When you take a bite of the rigatoni, all your troubles will melt away and you’re a small happy child once more. We celebrated a birthday and the desert was on the house. Classy. Btw no matter how full you are DO NOT pass on the salted caramel panna cotta. Every one needs to taste it. Apparently in the late afternoon reservations can be snagged from parties who canceled. We made a reservation ourselves a month in advance. Worth it.

Delicious had the pasta and the steak and was delighted at how good it was

My wife and I went for a special occasion and the staff gave us a hand written note and set it on our table. Our server Mike was professional and kind with every interaction. He told us the history of the owners grandfather and spoke so highly of all the experiences and takes on the foods of many cultures paired perfectly with a special Olivero spin.

The food was absolutely worth every penny, but the service and kindness was priceless. To the owners and managers- keep doing what you are doing. Best restaurant in Wilmington.

An all-around fantastic dining experience. The inside space is a well-balanced area that keeps your eyes wandering around the room. Our server, Mike, was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely attentive. Every course contained flavor-filled dishes crafted with skill and care.

Fantastic restaurant, the ambience, food and service are always spot on. Rory the GM and the rest of the staff are all professionals and it shows in the consistency of the restaurant, would highly recommend to anyone that is able to get a reservation!

Next level dining with knowledgeable mixology that delivers. Service with class and impeccable delivery. Leaving after dining not only tasted amazing but I did not leave feeling sick from low quality ingredients but quite the opposite. If you value quality food and spirits with next level service, this restaurant should be your next stop.
Shout out to Zalina behind the bar…….impressive technique, knowledge and service!!!!

Wow - just wow! Lovely experience from beginning to end. We loved the delicate tilefish crudo and the flavorful, perfectly cooked pastas. Atmosphere, service, & drinks were also top notch. Can't wait to go back!

OUTSTANDING!!! We sat at the bar and the service was top shelf all the way. Zelina, our bartender/server was so pleasant and patient. She answered our many questions and did it with a smile!! The food was amazing and are already planning a return visit. You need to plan ahead because they are usually booked.

Everything I have ever had from Olivero has been incredibly delicious! Not overly fussy or complicated. Just perfection. The service is always 10/10 too! Definitely my favorite dinner spot in Wilmington.

We were a little disappointed. The food was OK, but it wasn't great. It came out lukewarm. Our pork cheek appetizer didn't have near enough chips to go with it; we didn't ask for more because they appeared to be regular potato chips, not homemade.

The specialty cocktails were not good. Avoid them and just order your regular gi-to drink or a bottle of wine.

The pasta was good, but again, the food wasn't served warm.

Our waitress was good though. Kudos!

Service was great - Greer was attentive, friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The tapas style apps were really good. The pasta is where it all went wrong for us. The rigatoni was still very tough and needed to cook 2 more minutes. The angliotti did not have any of the flavors described on the menu. It was fine-ish but not what I expected. The desserts were...eh... budino was super thin in consistency, but the panna cotta was delicious if you like Indian spice flavors. I wouldn't go again but I also wouldn't avoid this place.

Service was great. Drinks were very good. Croquettes and Beingets were a good start. Rest of the dishes were just bad. The pastas were badly cooked and odd combinations of flavors. Have never in our life left dessert on table but they were just that bad. Budino was a soup. Topping on panna cotta was unpleasant. Others seemed to like but wasn't for us.

The restaurant is incredibly noisy, which is disappointing for a place that prides itself on its stylish décor but lacks any acoustic control. Additionally, the wait time between courses was far too long—even for someone like me, coming from Europe, where dining tends to be more leisurely. One of the dishes, a pasta, arrived undercooked and had to be sent back, though I do appreciate that they refunded us for it.
