From a simple “it’s my husband‘s 40th birthday” in our reservation, the team absolutely nailed the service. A handwritten birthday card, a special birthday sip of champagne, and killer service all around… Olivero just nailed it. It’s clear that this restaurant is about more than food, which is wild because the food is hands down some of the best in Wilmington.

We had an amazing experience this evening. You have to make a reservation to be seated at Olivero, at this time. I made mine 6 weeks ago and took the first available. Our service was above and beyond. Our waitress, Sam, was so happy and enthusiastic about the offerings on the menu. We started with the beignet and had the Rigatoni with sausage and the Coal roasted sea bass for our entrées. Their smoked old fashioned and espresso martini were exceptional. We ended the meal with the most decadent chocolate and toasted marshmallow dish as well as the cheesecake with berry glaze. We were cared for like VIPs. The atmosphere is eclectic and inviting, with so much to take in. You won't be disappointed, this is a Wilmington best in class restaurant experience. Kudos Olivero!!!!

Everything we had was delicious. The dates, escabeche, pork shoulder, linguine and cheesecake were stand outs. The cocktails were on point and the service was prefect. We were never rushed, always attended to and Adam was a true pro. The only thing that would make this place over the top drip is a little bit of bread at the table. Olivero is definitely one of our new favorites in Wilmington.

Our server Julia was fabulous!! She brought our table over a birthday toast to celebrate our mom’s birthday which was such a special touch. We loved the lasagna and sausage rigatoni, the pork shoulder was also 10/10!!

The food was incredible - everything had perfect flavor profiles and we couldn’t get over the pasta or sauce. The Brussels were a favorite too. Plenty of options to choose from. Our server at the bar was wonderful as well.
The only negative we had - we made a reservation for two, months ago, but our seat was at the bar, I’ve never seen that before with a reservation and I could certainly see some folks upset about it. When you make a reservation, you expect a table or booth.
But due to the food being so good, we overlooked it.

I left my phone in the car so no pics 😪 we had two pasta dishes both outstanding! agnolotti and rigatoni. combined a bite of each and voila! amazing flavor profile. carrots over ricotta with honey. twice cooked pork shoulder and NC striped bass All delicious. and the best cheesecake I've ever had for dessert!! Wow!

This was our first visit to Olivero and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing and service was attentive without being overly so. We will be back.
We were refused seating after a mix up on a reservation made one month in advance. There was guilt on both sides. On my side the reservation was initially made online for 4 people, with a note that 4 people was incorrect and that there would be 6. This reservation was made a month in advance. On the restaurants side, as it was explained to me, they do not read online reservations until the day, and since they did not see the change to 6 people, they were only prepared for 4. No synchronization of the online reservations and those called in. What I learned was don’t use the online reservations service, call the restaurant. We arrived on 12-26-25 at the appropriate time and were led to a table. When it was realized by the staff there were 6 people rather than 4, we were led back to the door. No attempt at accommodation was made, only excuses. They indicated that they tried to contact us when they realized the synchronization error. They said they had called and sent a text message. They had no confirmation that either had been received. It’s a shame that the customer service and attitude do not coincide with the fine food served.

Just had NYE dinner at Olivero and we were blown away with how phenomenal the food was at this restaurant!! Our server Mike was knowledgeable, helpful and made the evening so pleasant!! Each course outdid the previous one and was delicious and creative! It’s hard to impress on busy holidays but the did!!! Can’t wait to go back again!!

Great dining experience. I enjoyed sitting on the counter and watching the BBQ pit master use cranks to move the griddles up and down and achieve the perfect Maillard reaction. The food was delicious, especially the Brussel sprouts and grilled fish.

Olivera’s menu is thoughtful without being overwhelming. Flavors are balanced and ingredients are fresh. The space was inviting and relaxed, making it easy to settle in. Service was really thoughtful and efficient. They even created a memorable moment with a handwritten card for our anniversary which earlier in the month - so sweet! Olivera is a place we will continue to visit in Wilmington’s dining scene!
