I LOVE the seafood egg rolls. I've waited a long time to get them and today i finally got them and fries and it was delicious 😋. i would buy them again. Staff was great 😇💪🙌👏🩸🥰

The food was good but the wait was long. We looked at the desserts and the cashier said the banana pudding cakes were vegan so we grabbed one and ate it. I looked at the girls instagram who makes them and her business did not say vegan anywhere so we messaged her and they are not vegan. Definitely need to know 100% if things are vegan before telling people they are because not everyone is requesting vegan due to preference. I have a dairy allergy and now my stomach is very upset.

Let me start by saying, the customer service was amazing. It was the most welcoming environment I've had since doing my little food tour of wilmington. The establishment is clean and smells like good food. As a houston native, my experience with blacked owned and operated restaurants has been a mixed bag, usually with over priced goods and terrible service - hate to say it but it's true, argue with your mama. This place is the exact opposite!! Warm greetings and awesome people. Now to the food, I'm from deeper in the south so I'm used to a little more seasoning. That's cool though, they had texas Pete at the tables and an ample amount of ketchup. There was a very light battering on the fish and shrimp, it was good. It didnt knock my socks off but it was tasty. Fries were great and I loved the hushpuppies. My partner and I mused about a honey butter deep for them or perhaps a hushpuppy flight with mustard and cheese - even a churro style hushpuppy rolled in cinnamon sugar. These were easily the stars of the show. Overall, decent food, good people. (We had the 2 piece fish basket and the shrimp basket, pics attached)

Great food, good service, fresh seafood that wasn't precooked! The Shrimp are fresh and not to mention his specialty sauce! Superb!!!!!!!
Food was decent, got the sample platter. When ordering, I asked if we could get boneless wings with the platter instead on traditional, as this was the decision maker on whether or not we got the platter. They said yes, and when our food came out, sure enough it was traditional wings. Mistakes happen so no problem, but we asked the lady if we could get boneless like we asked for. She said yes then proceeded to take our entire platter from us (after we asked if we could leave the rest of the food on a different plate but she said she wanted the kitchen to “see their mistake”)…a few mins later she brought our food back and told us the kitchen was being “hard asses” about getting us our boneless wings we asked for in the first place. Already a red flag when the kitchen doesn’t wanna do what we ordered in the first place but secondly, we waited over 30 mins for them to bring the boneless wings out and they never came so we left. Won’t be going back until service changes. We had already waited 45 mins to get our original plate of food.

Lemon pepper wings were very salty. They were sold out of one of the items I came there for and I was told they were out of ketchup. The shrimp and salmon bits were fried well but not much seasoning. Okra was good and fried well.
