My friends and I always come here to celebrate different special occasions and enjoy each other company. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating and a pleasant ambiance. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and every detail was handled professionally. We will definitely continue return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service.

Went there for the first time this past weekend well, the restaurant itself is very pretty. It is extremely loud unfortunately it does not live up to many of the reviews or to the hype. We waited 40 minutes for appetizers an additional 30 minutes for our entrées, which were extremely small portioned. I don't mind paying a decent price for a decent meal however, the food was served in stages and at best was lukewarm
We were seated in a private room with six other tables. There was one table that had 20 people there was another table with two screaming babies well under the age of one
The so-called parents did absolutely nothing and everyone in the room was irritated and management also did nothing.
When you go to a fine dining restaurant you don't expect to be unable to have conversation because of screaming babies.
The service was OK. One waiter for over 50 people. It was an abysmal failure.
It's very unfortunate. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and the evening was a total disappointment.
Think twice before going there
it's certainly not worth it

Origins is easily in my Top 3 spots in Wilmington.
Tonight I had the halibut with consommé and… OMG.
It’s the kind of dish you eat on your knee because it’s that divine.
I don’t think I’ve ever tasted something so perfectly and delicious.

Outstanding restaurant. Great food, atmosphere, and our server Gerardo was outstanding. We were visiting from Arizona. The dining scene in Wilmington is fabulous. We'd be regulars at Origins if we were local. Thanks for a great experience!

A very beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The filet and ribeye were cooked to perfection, the bolognese was flavorful, and the sides were tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

First time at this restaurant. Lovely interior with both tables and booths. Tables are a little small if you order multiple dishes, but we certainly made it work.
We chose to have multiple small plates and a salad. This was certainly enough food to fill us up.
We started with the octopus with a red mole sauce that was so tender and wonderfully grilled. The sauce had hints of cocoa and cinnamon. The tuna tataki had a lovely citrus flavor with a bit of spiciness. The green papaya added a nice crunch. We had some bread that we sopped up the sauce with.
The arugula salad was delicious with crispy prosciutto, hazelnuts and pomegranate seeds. The perfect sweet and salty pairing.
We then indulged in ceviche that was light and citrusy filled with cucumber, tomatoes and onions. We finished with a smoked trout dip that was full of trout topped with pickled shallots, herbs and salmon roe. It was served with crispy toast. Everything paired so well with the Gruner Veltliner wine we chose.
So many options to choose from that we will definitely be back.

Nice friendly vibe, delicious starters and dessert, and excellent service.
Disappointing that they have just one vegetarian dish on the menu and they ran out of it. The manager and waitress went above and beyond.

Their menu could use a few vegetarian options.

I highly recommend Origins, I will definitely go back.

First visit to Origins and it absolutely won’t be the last. Our server was warm, attentive, and great with suggestions - and they went out of their way to set us up with a nice patio table for our baby, which we really appreciated.

The vibe is spot on. Upscale without being stuffy, and they were playing Rufus du Sol which just fit perfectly.

Food was exceptional across the board. The tuna tataki was fresh and beautifully presented. Black Garlic Caesar - bold, not heavy. The rolls are to die for, full stop. Shrimp tagliatelle was outstanding, handmade pasta, wild mushrooms, seafood brodo with real depth. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection.

Fresh sourcing, consistent execution, and a staff that actually cares. Easily one of the best restaurants in Wilmington we’ve been to as of late. We’ll be back!

I had a great experience at Origins Food and Drink in Wilmington! I ordered the baked chicken with mac and cheese, and it was really good. The chicken was flavorful and the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting. The restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The menu was easy to read and had a good variety of options. Overall it was a really enjoyable meal and I’d definitely come back!

Had lunch at Origins today. The menu had great offerings. The Flounder sandwich and Curry chicken salad sandwich were both amazing. The flavors were very well put together. Great place for a casual lunch and relaxing.

Always one of our first dinner choices when returning to Wilmington. Consistently delicious. The hot rolls are to die for and the crispy Brussels are always a hit! Absolutely delicious flounder—light, flaky, and cooked perfectly. The sauce paired beautifully, and the fresh greens on top added the perfect touch. Even the rice was flavorful. Highly recommend. The halibut was incredible—also perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Absolutely loved !it!

Been here so many times. Genuinely the best steak I’ve had in Wilmington!! Flavor is unmatched. Nice that you don’t have to pay $15 extra dollars for a side.. We’ve tried so many restaurants here. Origins remains #1. They have such good food. Great service. Good vibes. Great music. If you’re a Rufus du sol lover. Pasta dishes also bang. Highly recommend!!

Celebrating a birthday and have never dined at Origins so we decided to give it a try. What a mistake! We had one of the most disappointing dining experiences, and unfortunately it came down to both poor execution in the kitchen and even worse management.

We ordered the halibut, which arrived severely overcooked—dry, tough, and completely lacking the delicate texture you’d expect from a quality seafood dish. It was sent it back, expecting a quick turnaround, but that’s where things really fell apart. It took over 25 minutes for a replacement to come out, while the rest of our table had already been served and finished most of their meals.

What was most frustrating wasn’t just the delay—it was the complete lack of urgency from management. No effort was made to expedite the re-order, no meaningful check-ins, and no sense that they recognized how disruptive this was to the overall dining experience. Sitting there while everyone else eats is uncomfortable enough, but being ignored on top of it made it worse.
Mistakes happen in restaurants, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. In this case, the lack of attentiveness and accountability turned a fixable issue into a thoroughly negative experience. We won’t be returning.

The manager Jeremy and the maître d’ with glasses need to take a class in customer service.

I really want to post a five because the meal & service was excellent. I ordered a chocolate cake at the end (mile high cake) that looked impressive; but, the taste was extremely dry - maybe it had been frozen? Next time I’ll know better I should’ve been satisfied with the delicious meal.
