Recent Reviews

We go about 4 times a week in the drive thru. Every time it is a pleasant experience, the coffee’s are delicious, and customer service is outstanding. The new manager ( I think she has been there many months) is amazing, trains her staff well and selects the best employees. Kudos to her. It is so much better, especially with consistency, than with previous management. Porters neck Port City is the best in Wilmington.

I don't normally leave reviews but I absolutely LOVE Port City Java! The team at Portersneck is so kind and even takes the time to get to know you. Every time I go there, I don't feel like a stranger. The coffee and food is delicious and fairly priced. The wait is typically a couple minutes but may be longer depending on the time of day. But that's only because they make everybody's order with so much care, even under rush hour pressure. Best local coffee shop...

I want to like PCJ because it’s local but I am SO uncomfortable ordering there because if you pay with a card they ASK you if you would like to put a tip on the card. The coffee is already expensive (and not even better than the cheaper options) I can’t leave a tip every time and I just hate saying no. They tell you it’s optional but it’s still awkward and uncomfortable.
