From the moment we stepped into Rumcow, it was clear we were in for something special. The food here is nothing short of delicious! We kicked off our meal with the crispy pork belly pockets and avocado fries. The pork belly, paired with the peach chutney, was a perfect harmony of flavors—crispy, savory, and a touch of sweetness. Simply outstanding!
Unable to choose just one dish, we went all out and ordered the miso salmon, wagyu flank steak, and southern fried chicken cornbread sliders. Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right. The miso salmon was tender and perfectly cooked, while the wagyu flank steak was rich, juicy, and full of depth. And the southern fried chicken cornbread sliders? They were an absolute game-changer, combining crispy, juicy chicken with a delicious cornbread base.
Not only was the food phenomenal, but the staff and owner, Jen, made the experience even more memorable. They were so personable and friendly, making us feel right at home. It truly felt like we were dining at a place where everyone knows your name, and that warmth and hospitality made our meal even more special.
Rumcow is a must-visit for anyone in Wilmington—delicious food, fantastic service, and an unforgettable, homelike atmosphere all around!

We were roaming the streets of Wilmington looking for a cool, quiet place to eat and drink on St. Paddy's day weekend. We found this adorable place with a good sized bar and super friendly service. Alexia was our bartender, but the other staff was awesome and made us feel welcomed. We got some cocktails and shared appetizers. The drinks were creative and the food was delicious. We got the Vietnamese lettuce wraps (warning a bit spicy) and Asian tots. Food came out very fast in spite of them being busy. We would love to visit again when in the area. Cheers!

We sat at the bar and had cocktails and appetizers. Bartending staff was friendly and helpful. We got the Asian tots and Vietnamese chicken salad lettuce wraps. We added a 4th wrap so we could share. So that cost us an extra 4$. It was the right amount of food. Service was fast. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a nice restaurant in downtown. Small plates and tapas like servings are available. Our server was William. Took great care of us and made good recommendations. We had tuna and chicken and fried green tomato sliders.

Atmosphere was great but the service was bad and food was sub-par. Server check on table 2x during 2.5 hour dinner (took 1 hour to get a drink then another hour to get food). Seared tuna was ok but bland and when served with plain white rice and 4 pieces of mushy asparagus, made it seem like I was eating something my 11 year old niece made in cooking class.

Waiter was nice no complaints on that. We had the queso dip, the crispy chicken sandwich off the secret menu (what is posted off their facebook) and the chicken cornbread sliders. The queso was cold and just not the best. Chicken was “warm” at best and the chicken for both orders was dry and tough like jerky. Food was also overly salty. Overall very disappointed as this was our first time there. Wouldn’t recommend to friends.

Waited over an hour for meal. Food was ice cold when it came to the table. When the server showed up she was good, but in 2 hours she only came to the table twice. Over priced
This is going to be a long one as I went with a party and took pictures of everything. The waiter was good. He told us about some of the popular things and things he liked. He also got us the drinks quickly. I had a similar issue with the chairs, but I can overlook for the rating. I had polyester blend dress pants and was sliding all over the place. Our table was a big block of wood. It was pretty cool. We started with appetizers and think we got 5. These pictures might not be in order to my review. We ordered the avocado fries.
And they were very good. The crust was very crisp, and of course, the avocado was soft and warm. I typically don't eat avocado but wanted to try it.And I was impressed. The next step was the coconut curry shrimp. I'm not very big on shrimp, but I decided to have a spoonful of the curry. The one thing I always think of when I have curry is comfort food, and it did not disappoint slightly spicy but not hot.
The next appetizer. That we had was the chips in queso with goat cheese. First, the chips are crisp. They probably make them in-house. They're light and airy. The cheese dip is made with goat cheese. It was very smooth and creamy. I could have poured it on everything that I ate. The next thing that we got was the peppercini, Hummus, that also came with those chips. Everybody commented how the Hummus tasted different from what they expected. But it had a little thing of different flavor and everybody loved it.
For my main course, I ended up having the island burger, which came with a pineapple salsa that was really refreshing as part of the burger I asked for a medium cooked burger and it came out exactly as I had requested. With all the appetizers, I could not finish the whole burger, which is rare. I wished I had because it was one of the best parts of the meal. It came with a side of French fries. They were also crispy.
Despite our large party, I thought that the bill would be very high, but it was not. The food was very affordable. In my opinion, $10 appetizer, $15 meal, not a bad way to spend dinner with friends and family. If you want something a little more exotic, you could go for the waigu beef steak, which was a bit more than my meal with appetizer.
