We weren't in the mood for fried fish that evening, so we paid the one dollar upcharge for steamed instead. When our waiter returned to ask whether we wanted Lemon Pepper or Old Bay seasoning, we said no to both. The trouble with Old Bay is that too many places go overboard--it ends up coating everything so heavily that you lose all sense of the actual seafood.
What arrived were two filled plates. One was loaded with steamed trout, steamed scallops, and both hot and cold shrimp. The other plate was stacked with fried oysters and a generous pile of fried clam strips. I found most of it quite tasty, though the trout was bland without tartar sauce and really needed that extra kick.
Service was uneven. We had to flag down our waiter for straws, a refill of sweet tea, and eventually the tartar sauce. I also had to get the to-go box myself. That said, when he did stop by, he was friendly, attentive, and there was no charge for the drinks, which was a nice gesture.
Would we go back? Hard to say. The food was decent, but the experience didn't leave much of an impression.

Man, this place had, and I repeat had the best fried seafood. Dropped in for a late lunch a few weeks ago and was shocked how bad it was. They have changed their seafood breading. The scallops were little pieces incased in these hollow pockets of massive breading balls. These were sea-scollops, yet little pieces the size of a pencil eraser! Yet the âball of breadingâ was the size of something smaller than a golf ball but larger than a grape. I even showed our waitress and she said sorry, I will make you more. The next batch came out the same! Hollow breading balls with little pieces. Clearly not the wait staff fault, I tipped her 20%, but clearly told her we wonât be back. So sadâŠ

Great spot for quick service and good food. Havenât been here in probably 10 years and I swear itâs better than I remember. Our server Bennett was probably the friendliest server weâve ever encountered anywhere. Will recommend to anyone on their way down for a beach weekend.

It sounds crazy with a name like Something Fishy but the fried pork chops, boiled potato and slaw were awesome! And the homemade hushpuppies speak for themselves, they melt in your mouth! Guy Fieri was here with triple D in 2015. Food and service were awesome đ
