A Cool Guy

Probably one of THE WORST businesses I've ever had the displeasure of getting involved with. WORST OF THE WORST customer service, they will hang up on you, curse you out, berate anyone who complains to them of their mishandling of billing, faulty equipment, etc. ANY interaction with this company usually comes with tampering of your bill or interruption of service. I can't tell you how horrible this company is, should be booted from the possibility of ever doing business anywhere ever again under any name.

Horrible, incompetent, dishonest. Called to Cancel the service, returned equipment as instructed. Got billed again, they said after you drop the equipment you have to call again. Called again got a confirmation number. They billed me again. Called again. They claimed the confirmation number wasn’t valid too many digits. But you gave me that number. They refused to refund the charges and stated that the recorded cancellation call got disconnected before complete. THEY CLAIM I OWE $500 after returning all equipment and cancelling over the phone. SEE YOU IN HELL SPECTRUM.

The absolute worst internet service provider there is. Pointless $100/month for their “high speed internet.” Can’t stream a show without it going down every single night. Such a scam and monopoly.. I’ve been in the area for over 4 years, and they are the only option around. How are they still in business???

I've had nothing but problems with Spectrum for years. They're like a part-time employee that gets full-time pay. The internet stops working every week. Makes it real hard to do any of your business transactions when you can't rely on your cable company. Not to mention these idiots came and destroyed our trees in the front yard for nothing. There's a completely blank space across the street with no trees no power lines no nothing they could have put their little fiber optic pot but they chose to destroy very old oak trees and Laurel trees and my front land is now not blocking my house because of what they did this is the worst company ever

I would give no stars if that were an option. I became a Spectrum cable client in January. I was told there were no contracts and my fees would not change for two years. Two months later... you guessed it.... my bill increased. I called to complain and was told that it was out of their hands. DO NOT believe a word these people say when they try to get your account. On top of that... you are forced to go to the Spectrum News channel when you turn on your TV with Spectrum TV. They need to rename the "Spectrum News" to the "Radical Left News". It makes me sick and I am a Democrat! Be warned.

Since we signed up w/ when we purchased our home. All new service was run to the house and into the house. We have had intermittent interruptions of service continuously. Spectrum does not value their customers in the least but.

These crooks have been charging me for Spectrum Voice over the past 12 months... I cancelled my spectrum service in February 2021 after not using it my first month. The cancellation department scrutinized my request after being transferred from the chatroom, to customer service, to billing, to cancellations. Then they tried to keep me on Spectrum Voice with a $20 discount... They don't listen. They don't learn.

The worst service I have ever ever experienced from and ISP. The internet is the terrible, I cannot stay online for more then an hour without it going down and I have called multiple times and it still has never been fixed. If I had the choice I would switch but they are lucky to be the only ISP in my area. If you have to ability to get AT&T fiber do that instead.

All of our cable and internet goes out at 8:30pm. The best they can do is CALL me at 9:30 the next day. Absolutely terrible! I will miss 2 clients in the morning because of it!

My parents moved from Leland to Durham for a year so my dad could undergo a lung transplant and receive follow-up care. He was hospitalized and suffered from cognitive decline related to the surgery. By mistake, he paid for Spectrum service in both locations. During an entire year, they were charged $2,500 for a service in Leland no one was using. After they moved back to Leland on June 24, I discovered the error and contacted Spectrum on July 1. Zero sympathy from the company: they stated (correctly) that my dad had been receiving email notifications the entire time and they would not reimburse for it. Fine. During the same call, I made sure to confirm that the Durham account was closed and my parents had only ONE account. Yes. My stepmother returned the Durham equipment via UPS a week later. Fast forward two months – my parents were still being billed (two bills, $380) for the Durham account! I called the company and they initially refused to reimburse for either bill, claiming the Durham account was not actually closed until Aug 18. Spoke to a supervisor. He agreed to credit the second bill, but would not credit or pro-rate for the first bill (for 23 days of unused service), claiming "Spectrum does not pro-rate." If there is a more parsimonious company out there, I am unaware... ZERO sympathy for seniors or basic logic / fairness.

The rates are through the roof, hundreds of drug company commercials and many shows that are not for children these days. I miss the good ole days of good natured tv appropriate for all ages. The internet is good and I have two land lines that are clear
