I have always loved STEAM. The food had always been wonderful. We normally stop by before a play at the Wilson but this time we came for a birthday celebration. From the apps and drinks to the mains and then a celebratory dessert and song, it made the night very special.
We were a little disappointed when we ordered a bottle of wine with our meal and they didn't have it. Then, we ordered a second choice, and guess what? They didn't have that one either. And to top that off, the wine showed up after the appetizer was done. The pork belly appetizer was a very small portion for the price. The main courses were ok, but nothing to rave about. And, they were short staffed as well. So, Wilmington has quite a few establishments to enjoy. Maybe...
Excellent choice before concert at the Wilson Center. Food was beautifully prepared and quite tasty. The fish special was Scallops and they were yummy. Risotto was a bit rich for my taste, but a good complement to the scallops. Jonathan was excellent server, attentive and aware of our time constraints.
