Amazing!! There was one busser who was very very helpful with taking our photos and everything, I forgot his name he's a UNCW student who was very attentive. And our server was amazing very attentive and was great with his knowledge on the menu.
We were very disappointed with the food at Tarantellis. This restaurant came highly recommended but we will likely not go back. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was overcooked and lacking flavor and the meatballs were just mediocre. We also ordered Veal Piccata. The flavor of dish was overpowered by capers (there looked to be about a jar in the dish) and the veal was overcooked and chewy. The lemon and butter flavors were almost undetectable because of the strong caper flavor. Both dishes were underwhelming. The service, however, was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We appreciated that. Cocktails were good as well.
Really nice evening. When I made reservations there was no table available. Only the bar. So I took it. Upon arrival I asked if there was a table available and they were able to find us one. Great service
Food and service were both excellent. May be the best spaghetti sauce ever. Large portions and nice wine selection.
Everything was top notch! Greeting, seating, server, dinner, dessert, hospitality and friendliness was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Amazing authentic Italian food with fantastic service! Highly recommended!!
First time here probably won’t come back!
Food was delicious & our server was excellent!
Just the way we were treated when coming in by the hostess! We had reservations for four and she told us that there was a hiccup in the kitchen and we can sit at the bar and offered us free appetizers. We declined this offer there is 4 of us how can we even have a conversation? After waiting a few more minutes she sat us at the table in the back that sat 8. So uncomfortable! Plus there was no air conditioner. I told the hostess on the way out about how hot it was in the back and she probably shouldn’t seat anyone there, she said thank you have a good night! Her “I DON’T care attitude” was so evident. As we live local we probably won’t be going back!
Was in town on vacation and was in the mood for some good pasta. Mission Accomplished!
From the moment we walked in, the experience was one that’ll bring me back. The warm and friendly greeting I got upon entering is what I immediately liked about Tarantelli’s.
Had about a 15-20 minute wait, so my party of 3 decided to relax at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was quick with it and patient. I ordered the Limoncello Martini and was smooth flavorful. I had to order another one once I got to the table.
And speaking of getting to the table, we didn’t even have to wait the entire 15-20.. it was more like 10. Talk about a win!
The Papperdalle Funghi was good. The portion size was really good. #yum And it came out piping hot!
Our waiter was super cool and understanding when it came to dealing with all our questions. Wish I could remember his name.. kudos to him.
I heard someone in line before us at check-in say, “See… this is why I don’t come here.” And no, I couldn’t see it. Tarantelli’s did everything right!!! The next time I’m in Wilmington, I’ll have no choice but to be back for another amazing visit.
Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!
This was our 3rd visit to Tarantelli's. I was really looking forward to the papardelle la fungi, however, it was severely under-seasoned. It was so disappointing. Half of my meal was gone by the time I had it salted properly. My husband had the same issue with his marsala. The homemade pasta was cooked perfectly and there were a decent amount of mushrooms. The cannoli was inedible. The cheesecake was fine. Definitely not as good as it used to be, especially for the price.
We had reservations for our family. We arrived a few minutes early got seeded at our regular time. I ordered the broccoli rabe, a pizza and two other homemade pasta dishes. Food was top-notch, excellent. Pricey but worth it. Will return When I want to splurge

Walked in for a drink and appetizer at the bar at 9:00 pm, was told too late to get an appetizer. Website states they are open till 10:00!
Best Italian I have had in a long time! Loved the gluten free pasta! Couldn't tell the difference!
Very good food , average ambiance and for such an expensive place to dine I would of liked more comfortable chairs(not flat wood) and nicer tables with a table cloth or better looking tables than they have. Food was prepared excellently.
best Italian food I have ever had.......which includes a trip to Italy, the North End in Boston and The hill in St Louis!
Excellent Italian restaurant in downtown Wilmington. Dine here frequently and food is always excellent. Service always very good. Good idea to make reservations.
