Cook to order. You order at the counter, pay, get your drinks, find a place to sit and your food will be delivered. Deliciously cooked. Place is very clean. You do not have to bus your own table.

Looking for a new place to try. Loved this place. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The Bangbang shrimp came with noodles and pineapple chunks and was delicious. I had the shrimp sweet and sour stir fry. Shrimp were very good sized and the peppers, cucumbers and other ingredients were very good. Will definitely go back!!

This is the best food in the Wilmington area. We come here way too often.

So many places in this area are inconsistent but not Chow Thai. They are always hitting the spot and everything we’ve ever had is incredible.

The staff is kind and on top of it as well. Love. This. Place.

Just a typical Thursday night for my boyfriend and I - driving around figuring out what we wanted to eat for dinner. We Google what’s close to us and discover Chow Thai. Seemingly good reviews though not many in total, we decided to stop and check it out.

It’s 8p and they close at 9p and there’s no other customers in here and the parking lot is empty, leaving us hesitant to even go in. Through the window I see what looks like a buffet bar and I don’t do Asian buffet so I was skeptical.

We walk in and immediately welcomed by the hostess. We got to pick our booth and were given our menus.

First off, the menus are fantastic. There’s a wide variety of food here which made deciding a little difficult. We opted a family style order and we split everything. Plus, the sushi is made fresh to order which is very nice and it tastes fresh.

- Egg drop soup was phenomenal.

- Bang Bang Chicken - I would’ve ate the WHOLE dish myself.

- Volcano roll was delicious and the baked tuna on top added a nice texture for me and hid the gummy texture of sushi rice that I struggle to get through.

- Ahi Tuna roll, now I didn’t try this one because of the fish on TOP of the roll but my boyfriend almost killed the whole roll.

Everyone was super friendly and we got a lot of great recommendations from the other staff on what to try next. We plan on taking our family here when they come to visit in February.

Overall, so glad we decided to take a chance because this food was bomb!!!

Super slow now and the prices went up a lot. Wish it was like the old way. I guess you can't hire people easily anymore.

But still the BEST food in the area.

I recently dined at Chow Thai for the first time since moving here and it was an exceptional experience. This family-run business truly shines with its high-quality sushi and authentic dishes. I tried the salmon rolls and the beef noodle bowl, and both exceeded my expectations. Finding quality sushi in North Carolina has been a challenge, but Chow Thai hit the mark perfectly. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The interior is spotless, and I appreciated their impressive 94 sanitation rating, which is always a plus for me. The staff was incredibly friendly, going out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant experience. One lady even helped me carry my takeout to the car since my hands were full, which added a personal touch. The positive vibes in the restaurant make it a welcoming spot for families. I highly recommend Chow Thai for anyone looking for delicious and clean food!

Do yourself a favor. Eat here often. This is now one of my favorite spots in Wilmington. I saw the sign a while ago and thought that we should check it out. Why we waited so long is beyond me. Don't make the same mistake that I did.

I had a great experience at Chow Thai! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into their dishes. While the atmosphere wasn’t exactly my style, the overall experience was still really enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit for the food and excellent service!

I normally don’t even write bad reviews, but this food was actually not even consumable. The chicken teriyaki looked pretty rough but i dismissed the odd battered look because I was so hungry and thought I would try it. The meat did not taste well at all! In fact I could not consumeI called the restaurant The only thing redeemable was coconut cake. And that’s all I have to say about this place. I will not be back..
