Black bean burger was room temperature as well as the sweet potato fries. My wife's fish & chips were underwhelming. Atmosphere was dingy, sticky tables and way too loud to carry on a normal conversation. Not worth all the hype with triple D. Won't be back. Note: our server however, was pleasant.

Great place to enjoy a delicious meal while receiving friendly and attentive service. The selections provided everyone in our party satisfying options. This is a can't miss place when in Wilmington.

This is a Wilmington favorite. Limited menu, mostly burgers, sandwiches and salads. Full beer selection. Only nine tables usually requires a wait, so stop by and put your name in and take a walk. Attentive service and warm atmosphere.

Wife and I had dinner here before a show at the Thalian Theater. We were quite impressed. Being from Pensylvania, we liked the Philly sports memorabilia. The food was great along with the service delivered by our server Mary Hannah.Awesome night in Wilmington with a great dinner and show. Oh yeah, I had the roast beef sandwich that Guy Fieri raved about on his show. Wife had the fish and chips. Both dishes were incredible. We will be back.

Was here yesterday after hearing so much about this place and was very excited to try but was met with unwelcoming hostility from the serve and felt neglected. We brushed it off and continued towards our meal and my friends and I decided to get the fish and chips they were good but not the best I’ve had and didn’t meet the hype. My belief was only reinforced when after leaving the restaurant my friend threw up in the alley way behind it brushed it off as him having an irritated stomach from earlier. Unfortunately I woke up the same night to nausea, I stumbled to the bathroom and promptly threw up. Fell back asleep and was greeted to the same feelings and results. Very sad as the atmosphere was great just wished it turned out better. Hope this helps maybe other are great but I’d steer clear of the fish and chips option?

A few odd rules regarding tables, seating, time allowed, appetizers, paying at bar separately from table, etc. I'm sure they have their reasons for these rules but I found it very off-putting.

Service was great. I ordered the Greek chicken pita, with a side salad. The salad was huge and delicious, the sandwich had some great seasonings but the chicken was extremely dry. Not really edible. My husband had the sirloin, bacon sandwich with onion rings. Again the side was delicious but the sandwich was so tough he could barely chew it. Very disappointed in the visit. Probably wouldn't go again. We did visit this place a few years ago and the burgers were very good, maybe we should have ordered them on this visit.

Copper Penny is always packed, so I usually avoided it, but yesterday I found out why they're always packed. This place is AMAZING! Great, friendly and fast service. I got their BBQ burger, two 1/4 pound patties, cheese, bacon, a huge fried onion ring, tomato and BBQ sauce. It was so incredible! Their sweet potato fries were equally good. Really impressed. Beware it is in downtown Wilmington so parking can be tricky, especially during busy season, but it is worth it in my book.

Loud, tiny bar with 9 tables. The onion rings we ordered as an app were large but different tasting from before. Philly cheese steak was just ok. The chicken sub had very little chicken. Good aoli, and good rolls. Sorry to report it's gone downhill... and living off the hype. It's not worth the wait... which is long.
